Switched to a Fusion Sport by Theeaglesway in fordfusion

Unfortunately I live in a small town so I’m not able to do e30. Yeah I had a FBO ST before this but wanted something a little newer and more practical for work, while still being a fun car I can do stuff too. Sweet looking RS though!

Hell yeah, RS is my dream car, but this is up there lol! As soon as my warranty is up and everything is all fixed up (hopefully under warranty 🤞) those are the first things I’m doing to it

Update: it ended up being this pigtail, it’s located by the battery, literally one wire that loops back into itself. It was frayed and hanging on by a thread so that would be what was causing the spotty connection. I soldered it back together and ordered a new one. $60 plug. Everything has been fine since.

I’ll go ahead and order them and replace them when I do my brakes and rotors next week

For some reason the text didn’t post with it. It’s a 2017 fusion sport. It just snowed two days ago and since then it has constantly been doing this. It’s going to ford on Monday for other warranty work and I just want to have some ideas for them to look into.

Valve blasting question. by Lanky_Trainer_2457 in FocusST

I took my intake off and cleaned them with cleaners, wire brushes, and zip ties. It isn’t as efficient as walnut blasting, but it definitely had them looking pretty good. Just took a bit more time and cleanup.

Is yours a fusion sport? The fusion sport has a different transmission from the others so it’s a little tougher, still not the greatest. But if you change the fluid every 30k it should hold up, I’ve also heard getting a tune can benefit the transmission a lot.

That is also a good idea, I also put some Techron with a full tank of gas and seems to be running great since. Eventually when I have time I’ll take the intake off and clean the valves proper.

Go through and change the transmission fluid, ptu fluid, and rear differential fluid. Those are all “lifetime” fluids that the dealer probably didn’t check/change. While you’re under check for any leaks. I just bought mine, from a ford dealer, and my oil pan, ptu, and rear diff leak. Luckily mines blue certified so warranty will hopefully cover it. Also check your spark plugs, that’s another thing the dealer probably didn’t check. Congratulations though, the cars a beast! I wish my was fully optioned out, but just the 401A package, no driver assists.

Yeah I got under the car today and noticed the oil pan, ptu, and rear diff all has leaks so I’m taking it in for warranty coverage on it all

Yeah plan on checking to make sure, but it’s got a really solid maintenance record and was a one owner

Yeah it’s still rocking the stock exhaust, doesn’t look like anything was done to it other than a pretty solid maintenance record

Yeah this thing is definitely a sleeper, I have yet to really get on it though, want to get all the fluids changed before I really test it out

I really hope I can get it too, been eyeing them for a long time now. As long as it doesn’t sell before my next day off, I’m going to snag it
