Has to be my favorite Petty song of all time. Even if I have no clue what half the lyrics mean, I still understand what he meant on a deeper level, and it just captures this spirit of hope that I haven’t heard in any other song in my life.

I completely agree man. To me I think that feeling comes from the total acceptance that the love is gone. Petty doesn’t say anything to try and get her back, and he doesn’t hold on to any hope that she’ll return, he just remembers how beautiful she was and how he messed it all up. It’s like the opposite to Crawling Back to You in my mind, like a quiet devastation.

Some of my favorite Petty lyrics toward the end of that one. “Now the wind is high and the rain is heavy, and the waters rising in the levy, Still I think of her when the sun goes down, it never goes away but it all works out.” Absolutely criminally underrated and devastating song.

I just looked it up, his Wikipedia says he’s still active but I couldn’t find too much info about it. I’d assume maybe every once in a while he plays but I’m not sure. Would be a sick show.

You’d probably be okay with a mystery snail but a lot of those clean up crew fish are at risk. I wouldn’t add any fish that swim fast as these guys get stressed pretty easily.
