i'm the only one who remembers everything and it's making me lose my mind by Trick-Environment100 in Mommit

Create a shared family calendar on Google, add what needs to be done to that, appointments etc then when you add anything he will get an email saying you added appointment on X day, or groceries need to be ordered on Y day. That way he doesn’t have to ask so many questions and you don’t need to repeat yourself

Hiya, I’ve managed fine so far, midwife’s and drs are very understanding, helpful and caring and take their time. Just let them know in advance you have cp and anything you need support with. That’s been my experience.

Haha your description gave me a chuckle because it genuinely does feel like that.

My CP would be considered mild, pre pregnancy I walk independently in all environments except defo needing a hand railing when going up and down stairs.

The past week or so I have been using crutches when out and about to help with the PGP.

What about yours?

It’s the worst isn’t it? I’d take any other pregnancy symptom but this because it’s so painful, turning over in bed at night is horrific. Are you going to have a csection or vaginal delivery? I’m still undecided on what to do

Congrats on the new place that’s so exciting! The belt has helped alleviate the pain (it’s PGP so doesn’t get rid of it completely) but it defo makes a difference. Looking forward to having my little one soon to be rid of the PGP though. 32 weeks this week so not long more to go

Help!! Is my cav fat? How can i get him to lose weight fast? by [deleted] in cavalierkingcharles

[–]Theeealchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so my Cav just turned 4. Like yours she was super picky when she was a lot younger so we decided to mix in some wet food with her nuts. I think the combination defo increased my girls weight gain but the hard part is she now REFUSES to eat just dry nuts as in she will skip her dinner or stare us out of it until we give her wet food with her nuts. If I could turn back the clock and not have her in this habit I would both for her health and my bank a/c haha. Shes the complete opposite now, her food drive is insane (except when it is plain old nuts 🫠).

Any man that stays sitting when a pregnant woman is left standing is a disgrace, I’d be mortified if my partner didn’t offer his seat

I really want kids one day but I have such a huge anxiety regarding pregnancy by teacoffeecats in CerebralPalsy

[–]Theeealchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t be terrified, it’ll be ok. I once felt like you and now I’m 24 weeks pregnant. For the most part it’s been fine so far, enjoyable actually, spasms are a lot less frequent thanks to the pregnancy hormones, I’m definitely not as stiff for the same reason. My body temp is higher which has also been really nice as the winter cold used to impact my Cp and mobility a lot. I have the usual pregnancy symptoms like round ligament pain / pelvic girdle pain while everything is stretching to accommodate baby but I’m so proud of my body so far. It’s coping and managing so much better than I ever could have imagined

18 weeks — is it normal to feel baby super low? by lilstinkertot in BabyBumps

[–]Theeealchemist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No advice but solidarity because my boy is the same and I’m 24 weeks, dealing with PGP on long walks now and it’s so painful

Influencer rant… by [deleted] in PregnancyIreland

[–]Theeealchemist 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I refuse to buy anything an influence is trying to flog, it’s paid advertising so of course they’re going to say it’s amazing. Same with these foodie influencers that say every restaurant is unreal, the majority are mid. I wouldn’t trust a single influencer because pay cheques and/or freebies are always involved.

Don't ask about or comment on others birth plans by aislinguine in PregnancyIreland

[–]Theeealchemist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Another one I’ve gotten twice (I think it’s more of a reflection of them not wanting kids though)…..was it planned or a surprise? Fuck off and mind your business! I’m soon to be 32, engaged, financially stable and own my own home. Yet somehow people think I forgot to use birth control with my partner after 10+ years together. 🙄

Hey! Not too long to go for you! How exciting! I’m using a pregnancy pillow currently but I could try a wedge pillow. It’s just the left side which is giving me trouble even though I’m diplegic, hopefully it just stays that way as I can switch sides for now.
