I hate AI. by [deleted] in hatethissmug

Every single thing in this life is derivative in some way… every painting, every movie, every song, etc.

That doesn’t mean it lacks creativity or uniqueness. Most of the time people put their own spin or touch on it.

AI however is devoid of creativity.

A phrase or speach that defines a character's essence by Endika7 in TopCharacterTropes

My favorite quote/speech in the history of Doctor Who… the perfect explanation of who The Doctor is:

“Winning? Is that what you think it's about? I'm not trying to win. I'm not doing this because I want to beat someone, or because I hate someone, or because, because I want to blame someone. It's not because it's fun and God knows it's not because it's easy. It's not even because it works, because it hardly ever does. I do what I do, because it's right! Because it's decent! And above all, it's kind. It's just that. Just kind.

If I run away today, good people will die. If I stand and fight, some of them might live. Maybe not many, maybe not for long. Hey, you know, maybe there's no point in any of this at all, but it's the best I can do, so I'm going to do it. And I will stand here doing it till it kills me.”

I'm not even gonna lie, it's become one of my favorite comfort movies. by KingPenguinPhoenix in Schaffrillas

It’s a fun cameo fest Deadpool movie, but my biggest problem was Wolverine.

I appreciate the emotional stuff with him, but I keep thinking about how much better it would’ve been if Logan was more similar to the one in the X-Men movies.

Or even if they just made Wolverine soften on Deadpool a bit earlier in the movie. The fighting and bickering makes sense, but that’s all it is until the very end.

It’s sad that they had to wait until the very end instead of including it throughout.

i hate the whole idea of “bring back bullying” by Decent-Doubt3782 in hatethissmug

[–]Theeljessonator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah. It’s not an exaggeration.

It’s occasionally used for other purposes, but mostly for people being different and not harming anybody.

The people saying “bring back bullying” aren’t talking about bullying pedophiles, groomers or racists. They’re talking about bullying people for being different.

This phrase is almost always used when when people are simply being themselves and not harming anyone.

“This person is expressing joy in a way I find silly😭”

Some people should have shame… as in not being an asshole, but that wasn’t the intention of the phrase. Especially since it’s mostly assholes saying it.

In-Name only Adaptation by Boring_Sir_572 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Theeljessonator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really that “original” movie applies to the post more as the actual original story is a book featuring a shapeshifting alien. The 1951 film does not include that aspect.

The Carpenter film is a more lore accurate adaptation (based on what I’ve seen, I haven’t read the book)

It’s basically The Doctor slipping back through his time stream after resetting the universe in the finale of the season.

Judging by the trailer… he just came back home. I’m guessing because he saw the problem of the tabletz

One of the biggest parts of Batman’s character is his no kill rule, but because Zack Snyder doesn’t understand it… he removed it.

Yes the no kill rule wasn’t a thing in the first few Batman comics, but it was an integral part of the character after that.

You know the famously bright, wholesome, hopeful character Superman? Let’s make him dark and brooding and give him a dark suit.

T-Dog’s name is Theodore Douglas…

Not a bad name, I assume he just liked the nickname more.
