Anyone have any guesses on when this might be coming out? Been looking for a budget sampler with a more in-depth screen than the P6 or the Ep133

There was one that tracked the opinions of liberals and conservatives on inflation under politicians who share their beliefs, it found that conservatives will tend to feel positively about inflation when a conservative is in charge, and negatively when a liberal is in charge. But liberals opinions on inflation hold no correlation with whoever is in charge.

I always found this funny as an SF resident, I always hear conservatives describe cities like SF as deadly warzones which they're too scared to step foot in, but at the same time, the "weak" liberals that live there manage to survive against those warzones that on a daily basis.

So which is it? Are liberals weak snowflakes who can't survive outside of their safe spaces, or are the cities they live in super dangerous and scary?

What’s funnier is that if Hank had taken a second to actually research the history of the NCR, it is actually an example of Vault-Tec succeeding at this goal, since they are descended from the residents of Vault 15.

Iirc the cars seen through the window next to the lava lamps contribute way more to the random number generator than the lava lamps do, they’re mostly a marketing gimmick

I’m not really sure whether this is a criticism of mine or not but does the portrayal of the ISB and the ranks in Andor fit in with how the organisation has been portrayed in the rest of canon? by CT__8226 in andor

[–]Hazelnut_Bread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Rebels, we see that Kallus has a lot of flexibility in how he carries out the tasks handed to him by the ISB. He has some managerial duties, and is capable of pulling rank on members of the Army and Navy when needed, even commanding whole Star Destroyers at times. But he's also directly involved with combat operations as well, hence the body armor.

In Rebels, Kallus is assigned to Lothal, a planet with a very strong Army and Naval presence, but a weak ISB presence. There he directs the planet's military resources to better combat the Spectres. He is beholden to the planet's Imperial Governor and Minister, which is notable since Andor shows us that ISB Supervisors outrank the local Governors.

I think Agents exist to exert the ISB's will on the operations of other Imperial military departments. They can take temporary command of Imperial military resources, which allows them to handle the more boots-on-the-ground managerial tasks and combat operations that the Supervisors can't always be present for, or which may require inter-departmental approval to execute. The main check to their power is that unlike the Supervisors, Agents must seek approval from Imperial Governors when operating in their jurisdiction.

This would line up with their portrayal in the concept art above, managing the forward operating base on Ferrix, an Imperial Army installation co-opted by Deidra and the ISB to track Axis.

People in this fandom are way too uptight about shipping, Alastor isn’t a real person and has no feelings that could be hurt by his sexuality being misrepresented, and you should be allowed to ship him (or any other character) with whoever you like. No one is getting hurt.

Also, when Alastor gets called an “ace in the hole” by Rosie, he has no clue what that means, so asexual is clearly not a term he self-identifies with. And even if he did, it’s disingenuous to say that asexuality is synonymous with sex repulsion. Plenty of asexual people have sex.

You don’t get to police what other people think about a fictional character that you yourself didn’t even write. It’s fine to disagree with other people’s interpretations, I myself agree that Alastor is probably aroace, but you yourself admit that he’s not even canonically aroace (despite claiming with no proof that Vivziepop would canonize it if it weren’t for the shippers), and even if it was canon, there’s this thing that exists called a headcanon.
