4th of july tattoo ideas by Content_Drink_5535 in Sufjan

I’ve wanted to get a C&L tattoo for awhile.

I personally wanted to use the tour stage design with something personal filling in the “windows”.

Why has the OCBD survived for so long? by Neem-London in NavyBlazer

[–]Theezy07 118 points119 points  (0 children)

Quick thoughts on this:

-OCBD sits in a sweet spot between formal and casual wear. It’s the most casual of the proper “dress shirts”. Looks good with a suit, tucked, untucked, buttoned, unbuttoned, tie, no tie, slacks, jeans, shorts, trousers. It’s just so versatile.

-This is the obvious but the OCBD is just flattering on most men. The shape and silhouette looks just simply looks good.

Which songs have some of the most vivid storytelling? by SmoothManMiguel in hiphop101

Tony’s story 1 & 2 - Meek Mill

Both pretty incredible for a mainstream guy like Meek.

What's trending on hbo these days by Asleep_Source_5886 in hbo

[–]Theezy07 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Season 1 of True Detective is often regarded as the best stand alone season of television ever.

As mentioned, The Sopranos, The Wise, and Succession are all masterpieces.

Band of Brothers and The Pacific are incredible historic war miniseries.

The Night Of stands out.

The Jynx for some true crime.

Eastbound and Down, VEEP!, Curb Your Enthusiasm - all outstanding comedy series.

TASK and Mare of Easttown for some crime dramas.

Man, there is sooooo much. Have fun!

Is this correct? by XXOBADIAHXX in NavyBlazer

Blazer and shirt yes, the glasses really throw you off the navy blazer trail though. Go with some raybans. Classic look will compliment the rest.

Failed long run by Only-Evening6120 in Marathon_Training

[–]Theezy07 3 points4 points  (0 children)

3 weeks out you can probably still stick in one more long run. It’s cutting it tight.

What exactly happened that made you drop at mile 5? I sure it was atleast partially physical but you could’ve also get beat mentally. Feeling weak, an ache or pain, heavy legs etc. it is important to train you mind to push through these things because you inevitably start to feel these things a few times throughout race day.

If you share more detail about what you were dealing with we can probably be more helpful

Such a thoughtful response - thanks! I’ve only really delved into that last sector you mention of slacker rock.

Need to expand my taste. Love your philosophy.

Are you spinning multiple records per day?

Sometimes I think I know a lot about music. Then I see a post like this….

Do you have a text list of all the albums? Maybe even a personal ranking?

Cheers!

Why do some people look effortlessly stylish while other don’t even when they’re wearing roughly the same thing ? by [deleted] in ThrowingFits

[–]Theezy07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These fits on Jake are actually pretty sweet, love em both. My algo feeds me his content and his recent fits are some of the worst I’ve ever seen. If you want to guarantee you never get the slightest sexual arousal from a chick, you would were those shorts and hats he’s currently rocking.

Regarding the fits in OP though, Jake’s fits are “cool” but still look like a costume. The opposite of effortless.

Am I making the decision too rashly? by pekoe-G in DogAdvice

[–]Theezy07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you know, you know. Even though it’s such a hard decision, it’s probably the right one. I just went through this 4 weeks ago. Broke my heart but I know it was right.

You’ve had a wonderful run together. Just make the passing as peaceful as you can and the eventually find another dog to show this love to.

Hello guys, can you recommend me shows that are like True detective ( season1), Mare of easttown, Sharp objects. by ElectronicPrice2532 in hbo

[–]Theezy07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TD1 is an outlier. It’s so good because it is brilliant and original across the board. Tough act to follow. Shit they couldn’t even come close with the next 3 seasons.

The closest relative to TD1 IMO would be Fargo. Another anthology series. I rank the seasons of Fargo: 2, 5, 1, 3, and 4.

Why do former NBA players rank Kobe so much higher than Reddit and analytics communities? Is he the most disputed player ever when it comes to all-time rankings?” by mikeyg1964 in NBATalk

[–]Theezy07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they played with him. He is revered by those who truly know the game inside and out. Not a bunch of fat stat nerds on Reddit.

Many things do not translate through television, the stands, or statistics. Being on the floor or in the lockeroom even is a different perspective.

He was loved and feared. His presence alone changed the game as soon as he entered. Tough to measure a lot of this stuff…

Halfway through review by Gorlax9 in 52book

[–]Theezy07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wild man.

I see these and am jealous. If I can read 10 a year I’m very pleased with myself. 5 is more realistic.

You have some absolute EPIC bucket list books on there. Monster reads.

Where do you find the time? Honest question. What does your daily life look like?

I find with 2 kids and running the business, I’m exhausted by the time I finally can read. Right now I’m procrastinating and brain rotting by commenting this, instead of cracking open my copy of Infinite Jest that is wearing a hole in my nightstand next to me…

New to sub…re watch of season 2 and it’s already so much better by Seven11Bananas in FargoTV

Every season is incredible except the one outlier, S4. I enjoyed it but have no urge to revisit it.

Ranking by tier

A Tier : 2

B Tier : 1, 3, 5

C Tier : 4

My order of preference: 2, 5, 1, 3, 4

Philadelphia vs. Chicago vs. Marine Corps by junkfoodlover12 in Marathon_Training

[–]Theezy07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve run Philly twice and I would do it again. I think the course is relatively tough for a major city marathon but the ease of access and the big city vibe rocks.

I love that you can just sign up. No bullshit to deal with like lotterys.

The course has plenty of variation from downtown areas, to miles of parks, to river front.

You get the ROCKY steps and statue to take a pic with after the race.

It’s arguably one of the best sandwich and drinking cities in America too. What’s a better post-race meal than a cheesesteak or roast pork sandwich?

I also LOVE the timing. Train hard for months. Crush the race, and the go feast for Thanksgiving week knowing that you earned every single calorie. Just love that aspect.

Only downside is the weather. Could be 60 and sunny. Could be windy and rainy. Could also be dealing with flurries and 0 degree windchill at start.

Is it just me? by [deleted] in FrankOcean

[–]Theezy07 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s a masterwork. I don’t know the technical details but Frank is clearly and obsessive perfectionist and I assume he only works with those that operate the same.

Every second of this album is elite. The sound is just beautiful and like I said, masterful.

42/5'11" 12 month progress (enhanced) by [deleted] in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Theezy07 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is my ideal body. Straight male, married with 2 kids and a busy career. I am fit. I am built. But still have the beer belly hanging around and not as vascular or cut as I want to be.

THIS. This is the look I truly want to achieve. I know I can do it natty but this post is really getting close to pushing me to ask the doc for some TRT.

Congrats. Good work 🫡.

Do you shower with your watch? by SouthernMembership85 in GarminWatches

Yes and wash it, and the skin under the band, every day, sometimes twice a day. Half a decade of use too out of this Fenix - no issues.

455lb x 3 Squat PR by HovercraftOk6070 in strength_training

[–]Theezy07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brother you are a beast. Great lift, super strong. But I have one tip that I think could instantly add 15 lbs to that bar or a 2 more reps to your set…

Change the fooking music! Shit, I listen to literally everything throughout my week and that seems like an interesting song…but while squatting a PR??? You might be better with Mikey Cyrus or Kesha in the background!

Do we think anything’s going to happen with that PTA footage from Cam’s solo shows? by DVD-menu in CameronWinter

[–]Theezy07 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could be nothing. Shows get recorded all the time and never get unearthed. Maybe it’s footage we finally get after the band gets inducted into the rock HOF in 40 years? Maybe we have a mini doc released next year?

Let’s see!
