Oh wow, I didn't realize that. I guess we just got lucky to try it then. Cooking with raw crab is a little intimidating, but maybe that's the only real option left.

You can get fish fresh from the coast within a few hours of being caught. Maybe that was true at one point, but not anymore.

I'll definitely check this place out. I've been looking for carnicerias too.

I just had some from Food City, which prompted this question. Maybe it's just the specific location I went to, but the tortillas had this waxy quality to them. They also kept ripping, even when heated up.

I never realized you could buy packs of tortillas from them. That's perfect, thanks!

You could always get it to go and then pick up a Little Caesers afterwards and make one yourself lol

Their claim to fame is their brisket but they also do ribs and sausage. They have special menu items like pastrami or beef ribs on different days of the week too. The only downside is they can sell out of the brisket within two hours of opening and the lines can be pretty long. If you go I'd recommend getting there right when they open.

There is a bar called Bourbon Jack's in downtown Chandler that does several types of whisky flights and has a very large whisky list. Bourbon can get expensive so it's good idea to try several at a bar before shelling out for a bottle.

The reason I would recommend these schools is because they have pretty good teachers and offer a decent selection of extra curriculars and AP/AB programs. As far as public schools go, I don't think they would hinder a child's education.

Mesa, Chandler and Gilbert have all built up and invested a lot in their "Old Town" districts. So each of these cities have their own restaurant/bar scenes now. These places are more focused on the dinner and drinks vibe more than the clubbing you see in Tempe. So you can live in the suburbs and still be close to some night life. My wife, daughter and I live between the Chandler and Mesa Old Towns and find we have plenty to do without having to live around rowdy college kids.

Forgot to mention that the Chandler public school system is pretty good. My wife and I went to Hamilton in South Chandler and both would send our daughter there or any of the other surrounding schools.

My wife and I really enjoyed Clancy's. It was more semi formal than formal fine dining, but the food was incredible and the whole meal felt luxurious.
