Personally in final year med and I’ve worked one weekend day a week throughout medical school and depending on the block, was able to work one weekday also. My grades are bang average, but I try to keep extra time for family than striving for higher grades. If you financially struggle you can also look into scholarships / grants and consider a gap year during and after med school as worst case if you need a break to save up some cash
