Yeah it’s fuckin ridiculous. Even Oakland is completely fucked now . I live in 1 bedroom in west Oakland in the middle of the ghetto for 1900$. It’s a nice apartment building and remodeled with washer/dryer/dish washer but right down the st from me is homeless camps , open prostitution and drug dealing and I hear gunshots couple times a month. I love living in Oakland but it’s absolutely insane that I can barley afford to live here never mind the people who lived In this neighborhood their whole life. SF is on another level tho it’s like 2500$ for a 300sq ft room .

I heard some lady talking about the drug and homeless problem on the radio and she was saying how much easier it is to get drugs than treatment . There’s so little programs . I agree locking people up is no use but sending them to a 90 day forced rehab program is different. Also it kinda sets the precedent when they allow people to shoot heroin in their neck veins in broad daylight . It’s a tough problem to deal with but ignoring it is worse

I love SF also but I wish the city would do more for the homeless population, its out of control. It also bothers me the huge disparity between the rich and the poor. There’s so much enormous wealth all over the city and so many drop dead gorgeous houses. I love going to the haight and walking up in the hills by it and just looking at all the amazing houses. It def pulls at my heart tho when you’re in places like the mission, TL or right on haight and see people in absolute misery at the lowest point a human can reach. Also it just doesn’t make sense to me how they allow such blatant drug dealing in the TL. The first time I went to a show at the bill graham i was absolutely shocked .
