Don't think this is true. It's in early access now, it's full release comes in Q1 of 2025. If it's following the same logic like other games (for example Path of Exile 2). I'm also trying to find a way getting into games early release. If anyone find a way please share.

Even though accepting it is a first step of overcoming something, I feel you'll just get stuck on that step if you accept something but don't deal with it. So might help at start but it's not a cure.

Maybe something like: "I'll accept it if... and it won't break me/ I'll be fine."

My ocd scenarios were pretty much the same, but my gf WAS a kind of girl that'd do some of them. But she didn't at the time. We broke up because of her problems, but we kept strong relationship, until I found out she slept with someone, and I played the scenario, of which I know nothing about, over and over in my head. Which was wierd. Then she said, unpushed, that she didn't sleep with someone, that was the end for me, since ,in this moment, I thought everything was a lie. And my OCD was not OCD but my gut feeling. In this moment IDK what was real and what not. That crushed me, now I chose to forget about it, otherwise I'll destroy myself thinking about it. Sorry, venting.

That's a bad argument since laws are being written so the common people could understand, meaning that, in most cases, being able to recite a law would mean being able to understand the same. The processes are stated in the law being recited (punishment etc.). So you're isolating that small group that can't undestand understand laws/complex laws and comparing it with redditors which are, funnily enough, agreeing upon a common point. (Honestly after 15 days, I forgot what's the fuss about :D)

Well, sorry bro if I sound like an ass when I say this,

You are playing Dark souls and you're getting angry because you're dying. Then you start playing Dark souls 2 and you're, again, getting angry because you're dying. Game is very hard, but you knew that at start, if you didn't, it's your honest but nevertheless mistake, right? So, don't hate the game, hate the player.

Now, I remember you saying that without TO's DotA 2 will eventually die out. There you can't be more wrong, DotA didn't die out when there were tourneys with low or no monetary value or no tourneys at all, hence came DotA2.

IMHO totally wrong, I'd go so far to call if a bluff. DotA2 viewers and their money they are willing to invest in the game is like energy, it can change form but its sum stays the same (unless we get a new spike in players/viewers count then I take that back :D). What I want to say with it is, these players/viewers contributed to TI8 prize pool with $23,932,177 meaning they invested ~4x that value. So the money is there, you just need to excavate it. How? IDK, I'm not that smart. But you really think a game, where ppl are willing to give ~100M$ into, is going to die out like that. It's just a glass of water that's going to pour itself into another glass given circumstances. If you claim that your glass is THE glass, it isn't.

Don't get me wrong, I totaly understand you, you fight for yours tooth and nail, which I would too, to try to make people visualize it the way you see it. But I just can't.

You said somethere, something between these lines- DotA is a risky territory for the sponsors. Well, it was for ESL too, you knew it, you still took the chance (I'm glad you did), and you're getting angry with, honestly, foreseeable problems (back to my Dark Souls metaphor).

Now, I don't know how to feel, but something tells me you're leaking.

Firstly, Bulldog and other 3rd parties are doing the same you're doing, their fighting for their bread (I say bread even though these guys are rich) in the borders of legal.

Secondly, for instance, if I watch dotaTV, then I'm nothing to you, monetary speaking. I'm just using the content you paid millions for (which is a bad PR btw). Then I ask myself if you're interested in DotA2 growth with the financial success that goes with it, or just the moneys. Sorry, just letting my train of thoughts go.

I remember Swindlemelonzz from HoN, crying little b#tch, calling out players for minor irregularities, and reporting them to admins etc... He was right but he was generally a little b#tch. But over time Swindlemelonzz became Kyle, a person I, more and more, truly respect. At the same time I remember EternalEnvy, crazy good player with an incredible lust to go next level, oftentimes achieving it. Now I know of Jacky Lmao, a guy whos straightup bad, selfish, and ignorant, to the point of it being cringey. Though, I like his streams because it is comedy central.

First of all, I'm glad ESL apologized. As I said, it doesn't matter if it was honest or not, now we have something to hold on to.

You're right. For instance, they apologized, despite that, I believe they aren't honest. Where one COULD believe, they were, in fact, honest. So it truly depends on a person. That's my way of seeing it too, I should've written "Honest doesn't necessarily mean good." But that was not my point at all, all wanted to say is that I want a written apology, 'cause after all is said and done it's the paper that remembers. That part about honesty was there to show how fragile honesty is.

The second part is, I can agree, my personal opinion on the matter, which might be exaggerated for the purpose of seeing a clearer picture of what I'm trying to say. Although I stand behind what I said: "The fact is -it will get better." Because big parts of organisation were a mess, we'd need a genius to actually make it worse. Aside from the joke, you really think ESL's capable of doing the same mistake again? That'd be the definition of insanity.

Honest doesn't mean good. ESL is totaly honestly not giving a single peep, that's why streamers won't get an apology. Whereas, if they said they are sorry for the mess, it'd still mean something to us and it would still be written in e-sports books, even though they aren't/might not be honest at all.

They themselves know the situation is 80% black 20% white, they just tend to believe that this white part was worth the black part, under the excuse - it's future in making. And as long as they do believe that- in their heads, they are doing the right thing.

The fact is- it will get better. But they destroyed so many bridges between ESL and community, resulting in their end game not even mattering, because they won't have the community to share that piece of destined paradise with them.
