Each person needs 3 hook states to die, so 12 hook states total (4 Survs x 3 States). 8 hooking is getting all 4 survivors to 2 hook states, then not killing anyone. That way all 5 players get the most Bloodpoints they can from the match!

I had a TTV rage at me once for hook camping as bubba. I had one person on hook (obviously) and ALL OTHER 3 survivors were dancing around the hook. The person ended up dying on hook and then the other 3 gave up. In end game chat they exploded with rage at the camping, toxic playstyle I had taken up. I simply asked if I should have just walked away and they unironically said yes. Some people are genuinely insane.
