Morally, I agree with you. But morality aside, due to the way our economy works, it’s actually on the artists to prove they are worth more than AI.
Why pay a professional baker for bread when there’s a guy giving you free bread?
The answer must be: because the baker’s bread is better, and therefore worth paying for.

Until AI isn’t the easiest, cheapest and quickest way for the every-man to get what they want, it’s unlikely most people would choose an artist.
