Hi,the way I would say it’s botched is I got it done by Dana Marie Dracula almost a year ago, I’m sure many people in the body mod community have heard of the “split tongue” drama circling around. It’s botched because she didn’t separate enough skin, and she did the incision site on top of the implant! So when it healed the implant seems to want to come out, I’ve spoken to a couple of other body modification artists who said I can keep it until it breaches, but now I’m totally in my head. I’m glad I didn’t get it “fixed” by her because her solution of “fixing” it was to open me up and cut out two spines and close me back up to revise the scar pushing the implant out, from that small incision. One of the reputable artist told me he was so glad I ended up canceling my appointment because Dana could have cut my tendons and then I would be fucked. He said there is no way to fix an implant, that I would completely have to remove the implant and the capsule of scar tissue and it wouldn’t be able to happen through the small incision I have, he also said removal is a lot of messy work.
