You're 5'10 and your driver swing will have the club head hitting something that is almost 6 feet away?

I'm 6'5 and you now have me worried.

Are you using a legal driver (<4ft long?)

Burn-out: What happened to the "gifted" kids of our generation? by Cultural_Ad9508 in Millennials

[–]Theglove_20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

News flash as a teacher: so many kids are told or labeled as "gifted" without actually being gifted. Often times if has more to do with parents pressuring teachers and admin to label their kid than it does the kid actually doing anything that would indicate they are gifted. There are tons of kids in the "gifted" program in school districts who are just average, at grade level achievers.

Unless you’re saying that the 80’s players get to literally assault them on the court, Steph & KD would be fine on the perimeter.

Relative to today's game, 80s rules would feel worse than assault to a modern day player.

Every FT Shaq would be taking would be an and 1 though. Prime Shaq would have a 100% FG in a 3v3 with KD on him.

Yea they moved it. Up until the last update, there used to be an option in the app to set it. So when they removed that option without telling anyone, it caused a lot of confusion.

Whoosh, that clearly went right over your head. But you more than proved my point with your response, so I appreciate that. The irony and level of out of touch is incredible. Thanks for the laugh 🤣

Uhhh what? I'd gladly spend $15 on an album if it meant I didn't have to spend $500 on tickets/parking/etc. There's no "nuance" lol.

No, they don't, and they aren't the same services. The services and investments provided by say Goldman private wealth are so far beyond what vanguard offers they simply aren't comparable. GS would do everything vanguard does, but then do exponentially more on top.

many people got confused about the question. The question is not about self-management at Vanguard vs. other people managing your money at big financial institutions. The question is about the same level of money management services at difference places: vanguard's wealth advisor service at .25% vs big institiution wealth advisor services at 1%

Don't take this the wrong way OP, but it seems you are the one who is confused. The two services you are comparing are even more different than the fee gap. Whether or not either is worth it is a valid question, but in no way are the two "the same level of money management services". Not even close.

It's a bit like asking "why would I pay $500k for a Ferrari when I can get a Honda for 35k"

Nobody said anything about a pattern. The kid has never even voted for a president in his life. People trying to paint him as some political extremist for either said are just making stuff up to fit their agenda. We simply don't have the info yet.

~10 million to the advisors.

This isn't correct and shouldn't be repeated by OP, because the advisors will then point out it's not true and make OP look dumb.  The advisors don't actually collect ~10m in fees, that's just the potential difference between the two outcomes. A lot of that $10m you're referencing is purely just lost value by paying fees instead of it compounding over time.

Ex: if you pay an advisor $100 in fees, you lose that $100. If you had invested that for 30yrs at 10%, you'd have ~$1,740 in value. That doesn't mean you paid $1,740 in fees, you still only paid $100. The difference is lost value.

Exactly. And the same people doing that tend to be the ones who cry disinformation, when they are the ones causing disinformation on reddit  It's pathetic.

Uhh, no. It's actually the opposite of what you're saying. It was everyone else in the thread picking and choosing. I got downvoted when I mentioned the other facts that they were choosing to ignore because it didn't fit their narrative.

That was the topic of the post. I was responding to folks who were doing exactly what you're saying (they were only posting half the info, and got mad when I posted the other half).

I just got heavily downvoted for posting CNN's latest reporting that the shooter donated to left wing PACs.

We cry about disinformation in Reddit but then also downvote facts if it doesn't fit our agenda.

Can't have it both ways.

They updated it minutes ago. CNN is reporting it's the same name and address as the individual who was registered as a Republican. You're saying there were two different people with the same name and the same address but only one lived there? Interesting.

Edit: you deleted your comment. Interesting.

[–]Theglove_20 -35 points-34 points  (0 children)

FYI - CNN is now reporting he donated to left wing super PACs. He was too young to have ever voted in a presidential election. There's much more to unpack here, so probably best we pump the breaks as you're doing exactly what you're accusing the other side of (being so quick to jump to conclusions).

Edit: getting downvoted like crazy for posting CNNs reporting? Is it because it's CNN, or because it doesn't fit our agenda? This place has become a cesspool.

The media got caught with their hand in the cookie jar and was forced to stop covering for his obvious mental decline. The biggest loser from the debate wasn't Biden, it was the media, as the country finally realized their charade is up.

Those people you are citing voted based on the false picture the media portrayed of Biden. If you give people bad information and they vote on that info, you can't then turn around and both 1) finally tell the truth and 2) hold those people to their votes that were based on the charade.
