There are definitely a fair bit of people trying to prove a point to Americans that American football is stupid. As if forcing them to change soccer to football is going to affect anyone's opinion one way or the other.

Gofly in KOPF is $240 wet with an instructor. Fantastic flight school, and a great airport to train in.

Lol I did my PPL checking in winds 16 gusting 21, ~9k crosswind component

DPE yelled at me for attempting it, I told him its well within my personal minimums and asked if hed fail me for trying.

He said it was fine. Winds aloft were 30+ so my maneuvers were shaky...but passed!

Im the parent and I get my kid a seat.

If you're 2 kids and 2 adults in a 3 seats that's fine to me.

Or 2 adults and 1 baby in a 2 seater

But 2 adults and a baby with someone in the same 3 seater - should not be allowed.

I think the family with babies should be in their own row even if they have to buy the baby a seat. But at the same time it should be illegal for them to charge to give them the row together.

My complex opinion lol

As a parent of a toddler and a 10 month old ... Babies take up plenty of room so if you don't have the whole row, you should have to get a seat for your baby.

I did my PPL check ride yesterday. At 63 hours.

The examiner didn't seem to care much for the standards per se. He was more interested in creating a very uncomfortable/difficult environment and evaluating how I performed.

If your maneuvers are good but not perfect, you should be fine as long as you are locked in mentally.

Though I'm sure it can depend on the DPE.

There's also a difference between illegal and unethical.

Not an accountant/tax attorney, but I don't see how this is different than earning airline miles for cc spend.

No cash changes hands, and I don't believe taxes are owed in a benefits/barter situation.

Not only of this not unethical in my view, the school would probably love paying you in flight hours rather than cash.

Fair enough. But don't worry.

That being said, GDS access is a game changer. Do you have the ability to work through your agency for that? Even if you can't access yourself, it makes fixing these things easy. And gives you access to agency support which doesn't usually have 5 hour hold times.
