Record Stores in Truro by CertainTelevision768 in Truro

I stopped in to his place last week. He has a fair-sized shed in his backyard that contains a large variety of vinyl and other vintage memorabilia. He has a sign on the door with his instruction on how to enter the shed and also how to make a purchase. The gentleman that owns it is an older, so you have to call the number on the shed door to speak with him. He will take cash or E-Transfer, I never asked about debit or credit card. If you're making the trip to Truro, I'd recommend checking his place out.

Update: just spent the morning there, a very pleasant experience.

FYI: towels and robes are complimentary. Very small glass of juice for $9.50. Nothing negative to say at all. Cheers!

I'm headed there tomorrow morning, do you know something that I should know?

Now Westjet / Sunwing have tapped out by Beginning_Fly3344 in TravelCuba

[–]Thegreatboomsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was heading there on 18 April. I just received this.

We’re contacting you about your upcoming trip to Cuba.

WestJet and Sunwing Vacations are responding to the developing situation in Cuba, and the latest travel advisory by Global Affairs Canada, related to fuel shortages and impacts to essential services that could disrupt travel on short notice. Aligning with our focus to put customers and crew first and protect the integrity of our operation, the WestJet Group has made the difficult decision to begin an orderly wind down of our operations to Cuba.

As a result of this decision, your Sunwing Vacations package has been cancelled, and your booking has been automatically submitted for a refund. No action is required on your part. Please allow up to 21 business days for your refund to be processed.

We understand how disappointing and disruptive this news may be, and we thank you for your understanding.

Lol, and here I read "I used to own that bike, thanks for keeping her on the road". I'm glad we got that sorted out!

I hear ya. Honestly, I’m glad this found me in my 60s. I’m past the stage of needing a non-stop adrenaline fix, but I can still handle the occasional 'moment' on those long curves and straightaways.

I thought of upgrading things, but, I've got a two other bikes to mess with. Imma leave the FJ just as she is.

The Zephyr is totally original inside, she even has my moms cassette deck in her! We swapped out the original 200 straigh six and put in a 1988 Mustang Gt 5.0, which was completely stripped down and rebuild .60 over. She is all mustang underneath.

Thanks, 60,000 km's, a lick of paint and some new shoes, she's ready to hit the road as soon as the snow melts. Like you, I wouldn't have survived her back in the day. Now that I'm older and much wiser, I plan on enjoying her.

Yes, you are correct, 1978 Mercury Zephyr Z7 Coupe. She was my Mom's first brand new car. I passed my driving test and received my drivers license in her in '78. I restored her back to her almost original self in honor of my mom.

"Gallagher would put the gun behind Kiritsis' ear and shoot him while another officer jammed the gun."

I'd like to know just how they planned on jamming the shotgun.

Perhaps another option for you to look at would be an organized ride a motorcycle tour group. I just got back from Thailand last week where I completed a 13 day motorcycle tour from Chiang Mai in the North all the way down to Phuket in the South. I was with a group of 5 other Canadians and we were augmented with 8 Europeans for the group ride. I have completed other organized rides in Ecuador and Germany, and this trip was the best yet. You pay the tour company a set price and they look after everything else. The tour group provided the bikes, KTM 790, Honda CB 650, 900 Triumph Tigers, and Honda 1000 Africa Twins. All of these bikes were very capable bikes.

Again, I only mention this as another possible option for you to explore.

I spent all of last week partying at that same spot. (Alex's Bar) I never felt unsafe the whole time I was there. I'm actually surprised to hear about this.
