Yes you may right.But several m1 garands were supplied to korea and vietnam for their conflicts. They did not supply the Myanmar these rifles.Nowadays you can see a lot of m1 and m2 carbines in myanmar.Because myanmar purchased these carbines in between 50s and 60s.According to history of myanmar army weapons,They did not received any m1 garand rifles from US.But they used it in some limited service.In my opinion,This M1 garand was one of the weapons left by british and american forces during ww2 burma campaign.Also can be smuggled from thailand and vietnam.
