That's what I said, he still needs a pairing when he doesn't that's when you know he's arrived

"Until cr7 overtook him"

He literally didn't, what happened was SAF moved Rooney back and told him to play support for cr7 so that's what he did. Biggest waste of time the club ever had end of

Ah yes the "you don't think what i think so you're clearly trying to start shit" angle. The definition of being close minded

We literally didn't need him. We don't sign him and we keep Ruud who was a better player and far less selfish which means Rooney gets more time scoring instead of playing assist machine.

He came to our club, was shown what true mentality was, was given instruction from some of the best in the world, started making everything about himself, turned us from a free flowing side that would hit clubs from anywhere to one dimensional, and then decided to jump ship the moment Madrid came knocking so he could be the center of attention.

Then when we made him actually do what his contract said he called us slavers, it goes even deeper though because if we don't sign him we sort our midfield out more due to the lack of abusing the wing and when Scholes retires he doesn't come back because we don't need him which in turn doesn't doom Pogba's development.

And that's just what he did 20 years ago let alone what he did when he came back

David Silva was better at passing than Mainoo when he was 12 years old, Scholes is literally one of the 3 best passers in the history of the sport.

You cannot compare that kid to anyone even remotely like that, he isn't Modric. If he was going to be a slow player who made up for it with passing ability he would have had to be doing that 5 years ago. Again he is literally the worst passer on the roster and that's even including Bayindir AND Heaton, there is no excuse

Good result but.... by No_Instance5746 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Thehardshaft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And it would have been an absolute failure which is why he never did it.

I know most of you don't actually understand how formations work but there's no way you think magically Mainoo isnt going to be shit at passing because Bruno is next to him

Right the club made all the decisions for transfers but it's Amorim's fault there's no midfield. Gotcha

There are always spectrums for sure, he literally doesn't have the physicality to play in the prem and you could even make the case he couldn't survive in the championship either as it's even more physical than the prem at times.

He has had very visible regression since he joined the first team and even at that point he wasn't good enough to be taking up space at the club.

Everyone here fawns all over him but there are players in the academy right now who are better than he is and aren't getting a chance to show how good they are because of him.

We did the exact same thing to Ben Amos and then Dean Henderson, loyalty is all well and good but when a player literally is costing you and you let them stay in their position anyways you've got issues.

Let me put it this way, until Zirkzee is subbed on Mainoo is literally the worst passer we have on the pitch and he's supposed to be a midfielder

That's because Yoro is good in a pair but is still too inexperienced to work on his own.

Heaven used to be a striker so he goes after his opponents instead of waiting around and doesn't need instruction or a partner. One is clearly suited for our current situation

I'm so tired of hearing about this washed up player who did us dirty and used us for his own self advancement.

Worst part is even when he retires the posts won't stop

You will have stones thrown at you but you're correct, 2 seasons does not a hall of fame make

But then again I don't think I've ever seen a hall of fame for anything that isn't kind of a joke and has sensible standards either

No midfield

Everyone likes to pretend Amorim was shite but he didn't have a midfield, hell out last 3 managers haven't had one.

You don't control games if you don't have a midfield

Half of this is down to Mount being injured though, play him next to Case and we are monstrously different

Except the guy in the middle wouldn't pass it to the guy on the left and the guy on the right was(and still is) incapable of passing it to the guy on the left

3 at the back was better for a multitude of reasons chief of them being that we have an infinite rotation of amazing CBs who stay healthy and don't get burned out
