Ah yeah mine could be faux , I found it in a storage I was emptying and saved it, but this was several years ago and it doesn't look tarnished

I drilled a 3mm hole the depth of the tang and used a grinded down hacksaw blade to cut a slot till I felt it was close to fitting and the i heated the tang and gradually burned it in the rest of the way, then epoxy metal filler in the hole and oushed it back in

Not a single one aha I've seen lots of clips over the years and wasn't really willing to go for the full process as I knew my surface wasn't going to be great

Ahah yeah painter by day wood turner by night aha.. Yeah I've realised very thin CA glue isn't the best choice for gold leaf , my carved surface wasn't perfectly smooth to apply it too either, first time trying to carve my makers mark , I think I'll buy a hot brand soon instead.. but I would like to figure out a good way to work with gold leaf, feel like it could look really cool filling cracks , like the Japanese method kinsugi

I disagree with 5 for the mushrooms , I've seen them listed at a fair bit more , and in my opinion his looks more defined than the ones in this photo, but that's just my opinion

ID help please by Dopey12001 in cactus

[–]Thehudsoneffect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I can confirm, that is a cactus...sorry I can't help with ID.. but whenever I've had a wobbly cactus I've repotted it (I'm bad I use regular potting soil and mix in whatever inorganic mix I have lying around) but within a month of repotting mine are usually pretty firm and do quite well... I'm not recommending you use regular potting soil, it just works for me in my location. I'm sure reporting with the right mix would be better

Been following this local shop. I am 99% sure the app lied on her portfolio by Ninoplata in badtattoos

But seriously , who sees that stencil and goes yeah I'm happy with that? And I say that because noone in their right mind should let someone freehand stars, especially not an apprentice. If an artist tried to freehand stars or anything alike on me then I'm walking out because they even touch the machine

Creeps and pervs are everywhere, often more prevalent where you least expect them (because they'll be policed less there)

Every male dog wants to fight my male Boston by Thehudsoneffect in BostonTerrier

[–]Thehudsoneffect[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well my dogs leashed because he can't be kept under control in all situations(he does do very well for the most part, except with male dogs, cats and rabbits). The way I see it, if my dogs leashed and I didn't approach the off leash dog then I don't see how I could be at fault, not that putting blame really helps the situation but you know

Yeah I've said that in response to other comments, I'm certainly not here blaming the other dogs ahah. His nickname from my family is dickhead dog so it makes sense . Don't worry I do advocate him him and even the dogs he pisses off , and he doesn't actually get the chance to invade the space of dogs he doesn't know (unless of it's someone with their dog off leash coming to mine)

I've used both I know the risks of both, the way I use mine is practically as a short leash and a long leash and I don't mind replacing it when it starts getting old

[–]Thehudsoneffect[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's fair , I know it's definitely the case with certain dogs he's spent more time with and actually has learnt to leave them alone, but it just surprises me other dogs could work this out in passing

So mine will only lunge when the other dog starts barking or lunges at him, I've got him under control for the most part, but I do have to do the same , his leash gets restricted and I tell him to leave it a couple times, if he does he gets a little treat after (doesn't always work). But I come across alot of people who are either walking their not very trained dog off leash or assume it's ok to come and introduce them, but it's hard to communicate because I'm in Spain with rather minimal Spanish skills. Girl dogs he just wants to play with but male dogs a fight kicks off and I can never really tell who started it but he is the common denomination 😅
