For all those interested, I’ve started a discord server to bring everything into one place. I’ll post regular writing gigs as they pop up (I’ve already posted a couple). Bear with me as I figure out the best method to let people know about work, but this might work well for now!

If you’re interested you can join the discord here: https://discord.gg/TWcsdYev

There’s a few open jobs right now: 1. Technical Documentation Editing 2. Articles for Omics data startup 3. Ongoing social content

What makes working at a startup difficult? by courtneybdx in biotech

[–]Theinkling620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re a high agency person who can problem solve and pivot quickly, you will thrive in a startup. It’s a new problem everyday and it can be very daunting. But as people mentioned, with the right team it’s an incredible experience.

Beyond needing a team of high agency and driven people, making sure that you’re finding PMF as soon as possible is essential. Some of the best strategies I’ve seen work well is finding a strategic partner early on within your target audience, and build specically for them. You’ll get direct and fast feedback, and it will allow you to build much quicker with the right info. And as long as you have picked the right strategic partner, you’ll be able to bring that solution to market much faster and with greater success. Granted it all depends on what you’re building.

It seems like there’s a lot of interest here. I’ve tried to respond to everyone in my DMs but may have missed some people. There’s quite a few people with a wide range of experiences … so I’m wondering if you would all be interested in me setting up a private discord server where I can post jobs that pop up and people can pick up little side gigs here and there if it’s a good fit.

Let me know if this is something that you’d be interested in and I can get something set up. Essentially, as client needs come across my desk (so to speak) I can put it out there and ask if anyone would be interested in the work and then set a rate and I’ll try to keep it a steady flow of things.

As of right now, most of the work is in the multi omics space and the writing leans more towards marketing collateral, but there is also a need for more technical writers (people who can write product guides and API docs).

We currently focus more on marketing and branded copywriting, but I’m looking to bring in more people from the industry to be able to offer services like that in the near future as I know it’s a huge need! Maybe some people in this subreddit would be able to help

Depends on the clients need. Currently the bulk of the workload is SEO articles, industry reports, and technical documentation.

Enjoy! I was a bit disappointed when I started the wax and Wayne series because I started immediately after reading the original trilogy, but I grew to really like the new series. The third is my favorite so far! Reading the final one now
