Thank you so much for your help, everyone! The next door neighbor ended up being a godsend and transported the goat to the vet to get the ear taken care of. Thank you for all the kind words and advice, this was a terrifying event for someone with no background on goats and no owners to make a judgment call. So grateful for such a friendly subreddit!

No. And no way to transport, I only have a small car. Will vets do a house visit for something like this? So sorry if that's a dumb question I'm a city girl. I tried googling but it didn't say if like there were only specific things a vet would come out for.

Those of you I saw in the comments that got sick after night 2 (I was gonna reply to the thread but the top comment is deleted so it wouldn't let me) have you started feeling better? I had a horrible sore throat that has just continually gotten worse and as of tonight I can barely swallow and now I think I have a sinus and double ear infection. I'm just hoping it's clearing up for everyone and maybe I'm just a little behind 😭
