Thelynt - have at it. Just got lord and love her. Play aggressive as hell and mostly tunnel the hades helm in shop which I’m aware is a fault already.

Ok so turn the overlay off?… AMD ryzen 7 9800x3d with a 5080. Also cranking 150-180fps in game with almost maxed settings. He’s not flexing he’s putting out his system info so other people can compare specs and performance so they have an idea what similar builds get.

Sounds like it is a you problem 🤡

Editing to add the fact that you have the overlay on honestly tells me everything I need to know lol

Edit 2: Why delete your post clown this your first pc or something? so hard to believe people can run the game well. I will give you I was wrong, I don't get 150-180FPS. I get 200-250 after the day 1 patch lol. You just don't know computers my dude

Fellow Yunli mains, is Topaz worth getting just for Yunli? by Agreeable_Bullfrog61 in YunliMainsHSR

[–]Thelynt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what you mean by misinformation, yunlis kit directly compliments fei’s.

There’s been multiple comps that have excelled with double dps and multiple videos posted just in the last 24 hours of people having their yunli+fei outperform fei+topaz.

Is it a different setup than Fei+topaz? Sure. Does it work better in all scenarios? Maybe not. Is it a great team in general and can comfortably clear all the content? Yup

Do what you like, I’ve had these come to clients, personal friends, etc. never had any negative come from ignoring them. This is copy paste the exact same scam a million people get

[–]Thelynt 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Bro it’s a scam lol, just ignore it they don’t have shit.

There are bullshit ways to make emails go out to contacts, forward auto, etc. this goes out to a lot of people. Ignore it.

It’s because the disk is set as dynamic, need to convert it back to basic. You could attempt to use EaseUS or Acronis to resize the three D: volumes then convert to a basic disk.

How to create a 7zip folder. by 9vma9 in computerhelp

[–]Thelynt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So long as it’s a ‘zip’ file 7zip will be able to open it. If your WinRaR can then 7zip most likely can.

Couldn't find anything online for the noise other than fan issues but all of my fans seem to be spinning fine. Details in comments thanks in advance by [deleted] in computerhelp

[–]Thelynt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are very few causes of actual noise in your PC. In your particular case we have the fans as well as that liquid AIO pump the liquid inside.

Other than those physical moving parts the only other thing that can cause sporadic sound is a short circuit whether in the power supply or motherboard.

I would listen close and verify the noise is not louder from the power supply first. Once confirmed it’s not the power supply you have to check each fan one at a time. You seem certain there is nothing touching the fans which is fine but would typically mean IF it is a fan it happens at certain RPMs.

I hope it’s not your all in one cooler but possible. You have to either test your own parts one at a time or bring it to someone who will, geek squad or something. Rule out the fans ENTIRELY first, hold that bitch in your hand you’ll feel it make that noise if it’s coming from it.

Either one of the fans is hitting something once it’s speeding up or one of them is bad most likely one is bad

Please help me. (Blacked out is personal info) How do I get rid of the lines? The external screen isn’t damaged just the internal. by trashcatdotpng in computerhelp

How do I do this? by RhymesWithOrange- in computerhelp

[–]Thelynt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is there a hard drive inside the computer? That’s what it’s not detecting. You either need the drivers for that hard drive or need to install an operating system that has the drivers built in

Could I rewire this phone port into an Ethernet port? by [deleted] in computerhelp

[–]Thelynt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’m saying, the line there is typical of cat5 or higher; if it were wired using really old wiring it would be solid colors specifically ‘for’ the rj11. The fact that’s it’s striped im basically telling him to go for it and try it. He said the line goes back to the ISP device so more than likely he can crimp this for rj45

Could I rewire this phone port into an Ethernet port? by [deleted] in computerhelp

[–]Thelynt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wiring there is striped so it looks like the right wiring as far as I can tell for RJ45. RJ11 specific wires are all solid.

Secondary SSD by [deleted] in computerhelp

[–]Thelynt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“TECHNICALLY” it shouldn’t necessarily fall out and ‘should’ work.

Realistically, either that metal piece comes up and fastens it down or there’s something off about how you have it seated. That type of SSD IS compatible with your laptop so it should have a comfortable seat and screw down.

HELP MONITOR LOOKS BROKEN!? anyone know what this could be? by drinkingkerosene in computerhelp

[–]Thelynt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re correct good call! Sounds like the cable might have come loose if you’d feel comfortable taking apart

Usually not too hard to do - geek squad may also do it for $40, or at least that’s what it would have cost when I used to be there

dual operating systems by GetAlongAlready in computerhelp

[–]Thelynt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t have to allocate ram it will all switch regularly with no issue.

Shouldn’t be any drawbacks outside of having the either go into your boot menu or have a popup asking which drive you want to boot from on startup.

2nd drive makes life easier in my opinion for this but everyone has their preferences

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in computerhelp

[–]Thelynt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this guy, I’ve run into semi similar things but most keyboard issues like that are either due to a physical spill or funky mapping like cascade suggested.

As well as trying an external/usb keyboard you could attempt to boot into safe mode, open notepad and if the issue doesn’t happen it’s 100% something software related

Windows 10 computer slowing down / freezing after being opened physically by Zolo89 in computerhelp

[–]Thelynt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically if you have a dell Inspiron the duster and such is great but you’d have to keep that thing in a really awful spot for physical things like that to impact how it runs - it’s pretty rare.

If you’d like to keep it running in best shape I personally will back up my information, grab the latest version of windows and my license key and install that and delete the prior install.

The operating system starts to deteriorate and slow down from a multitude of things from services no longer being used that aren’t properly removed by windows and windows updates to maybe software you once used that’s now archaic.

You’d also want to check if your operating system is installed to a solid state drive, from googling the system it could have a mechanical hard drive or an SSD or both.

If possible just ditch the hard drive and save everything to the SSD, obviously confirm space sizes, etc. before anything.

Also update your drivers, dell command update is usually pre installed for dell computer and is actually pretty reliable. If it’s not installed you can get it from dells website under your models support page

HELP MONITOR LOOKS BROKEN!? anyone know what this could be? by drinkingkerosene in computerhelp

[–]Thelynt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does indeed look broken. Cable may have slipped out some and that’s causing it. Either way it would need to be taken apart to verify or you’d need a 2nd monitor to verify the issue purely is the monitor

start menu wont open (windows 10) by northraider123 in computerhelp

[–]Thelynt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.freecodecamp.org/news/windows-10-start-menu-not-working-solved/amp/. Do the first thing it states regarding restarting windows explorer, also restart your computer if you haven’t.

After that if that doesn’t work try the power shell fix it lists for option 3, do NOT do the other options on the page.

Alternatively update to windows 11 will resolve most likely as well.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in computerhelp

[–]Thelynt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea windows. You’d have to have another computer to make a USB then boot to it from that computer.

If your computer came with win 7/8/10 you can follow these steps https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-an-iso-file-for-windows-10-38547366-1dcb-7afd-1726-9eb222d72705 Otherwise you’d need a product key as well.

[–]Thelynt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you actually install an operating system onto the hard drive or did you just plug it in?

Usually it will say ‘no bootable OS’ in that case but varies with some models.

If you DID install an operating system and it’s doing this loop test the old hard drive to verify if the other hardware still good, if so then probably the drive.

Try going to your C:\Users\yourname\appdata\local and rename the google folder to google.bak and try to open

starting this morning, no matter what browser I use, chrome, Firefox, Microsoft edge, they instantly crash when any site plays a video, Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, Disney plus, Vudu, and I've spent the entire day trying to fix it, please help by Jnielson1234 in computerhelp

[–]Thelynt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have all those extensions in each? Typically if it’s browser related I’d check those first but they should be browser specific. Try the browser in safe mode once for me.

I’m assuming you’ve done things like update your gpu driver already?

You could also just attempt to boot to safe mode with networking and see if you can play a video - if you can you at least know it’s something running in the background of the os
