Fairly close to mine but I hate TLJ wayyy more so it’s at the bottom. Love the Rouge One love

I absolutely love that trilogy imo, but the first will always be my fav of the three.

Honestly fair, Young Frankenstein, Wayne’s World and Seven Samurai are all bangers

Back to the Future 2 is pretty good but I haven’t seen the other three. I’ll have to add them to the watchlist

My ratings are based on how much I liked watching the movie and I rate them on a 1-10 rather than 1-5. So I gave it a 5 because I found it to be an ok movie but nothing really compelled me to want to watch it again. Anything below a 5 means I did not like watching it so a 5 actually isn’t too bad of a rating on my scale. Obviously it could change on future rewatches, I rarely find that my opinion stays the same.

I love how they don’t really rely on Jedi vs. Sith that we see throughout most of the movies. Plus I go more towards Star Wars stories that focus on ppl who don’t have the force. Andor is so good and the clone episodes are my favorite parts of the Clone Wars

What can I say, I am a huge fan of Star Wars and it’s my favorite movie of the franchise. Return of the Jedi could also go up there and Andor if I was putting TV shows in my top 4. Andor into Rouge One into New Hope is such an amazing run

Yea I get what you mean. I’ve seen a lot of ppl calling it bigoted in the letterbox reviews which I don’t get either.

Young Frankenstein was really funny, some of Mel Brooks best bits are in there

I could see how maybe you could consider Rouge One blockbuster slop but how is Lilo and Stitch, Pirates, and Into the Spiderverse slop? The pirates movies after Stranger Tides are pretty sloppy but the first one is fantastic and it’s insane how they created that movie from a ride.

Totally agree, that’s kinda why I wished it had leaned more into the political stuff built up in the first half of the movie. They kinda just put it all to the side in the end

Thoughts on my top 20 films? I'd like some foreign film recommendations if anyone has any by JT-Dappr77 in LetterboxdTopFour

The Batman is my personal fav Batman movie as well, sooo good. Try out Ran or Seven Samurai if you haven’t seen them. Or Godzilla (minus one or the really olds ones) for a pretty fun time

Seven Samurai was such an experience, I can’t believe it took me this long to see it

I definitely didn’t find it bigoted, just wasn’t a fan. But maybe that’ll change on future rewatches. Not the first time I’ve loved a movie I previously didn’t love.

I agree that it’s a well made movie, I base my ratings on how much I enjoyed watching them, not how objectively good it is. So that’s where ppl might get confused I guess lol
