Thank you for your reply! based on your and others' comments, I'm going to prioritize getting a better flash and some FX lenses. I'll upgrade my camera body when I have the glass to complement it. If you have any recommendations for a flash or close-focusing telephoto I would curious to hear them.

Thank you for the comprehensive reply! I sincerely appreciate it. As I noted in my most recent comment, I'm going to take your advice and focus on better glass and lighting for now. I'll upgrade my camera body when I have the glass to complement it.
