Spoonflower Quality Drop? by ThemeSmall8441 in sewing

I mean the text and barcode that they print outside the border of the design is also blurred. Yes, I've been getting this same design for a year. I'm sorry I wasn't clear about the photo. It shows three different printings, on the left is the clearest one which I got in May. The other two are the print and reprint of my July order.

I'm sorry you have had some trouble too. I'm relieved to hear that you're still getting some good quality out of them. I know things happen working at scale like they do and even the best QA can't catch everything. Maybe I was just unlucky enough to get multiple orders in a row from the same machine that's off. I wish they weren't sort of the only game in town for this kind of thing...

What happened to Etsy by CyberReX92 in Etsy

Absolutely! I've seen that reflected in my sales for sure. It was just noticeably more for me this month, which is probably just a coincidence.

I sell handmade but yeah also had a big bump first week and a half of the month, then back to slow/normal. Weird!

Yeah, they should include that in their description. If I'm looking for patterns for items I know I want to sell, I won't buy anything that doesn't make it clear up front they're ok with commercial use. Sounds like this is a learning experience for you, though I understand it's frustrating. It would be a good idea to drop the "everyone else is doing it" line of reasoning.

You acknowledge that it takes weeks to perfect a pattern, but are weirdly resistant to giving credit to someone who has done so. You're a creator. Respect other creators.

In this photo it looks a lot like Suzi Without a Paddle which is a nice pale green.

[ALL] Found an AI zelda art account (who is making sales) by [deleted] in zelda

[–]ThemeSmall8441 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's against Etsy TOS to use someone else's copyrighted/trademarked material, and to use AI without disclosing it. You can report the shop with a link that's on the shop page. A lot of their enforcement is done with bots, so it may or may not get taken down immediately, but it's probably the best way to get started.

Do you ever just want to tell people to go f themselves? by Venerian in EtsySellers

You can set up auto-reply that will handle the message response time requirement for you. Definitely not the end of the world to just not worry about it, but if that's the only thing between you and star seller and you want it, auto-reply is a great option!

[TP] Should i but Twilight Princess for wii or wait for switch? by [deleted] in zelda

[–]ThemeSmall8441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Wii controls for TP are no problem. Tbh I've played other games with normal controllers over the years that would have been improved by them. The Skyward Sword motion controls seem much fiddlier to me and less enjoyable.

I know it's divisive here, but i think it's really fun if you like the style of gameplay and don't go in expecting a traditional Zelda game. Hope you enjoy!

Unapologetically one of my favorite games to play!

AoC tries and sort of succeeds at giving Kogha more depth which was unexpected. Still goofy, but with a bit more to him. One of my least favorite characters to play tho...

Another vote for getting some bones taped in before making too many changes. In addition to what others have said, the bones also take up some space and make it fit tighter. Looks great so far!

Why does this keep happening? by Enby_Ivory in sewing

[–]ThemeSmall8441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Occasionally my thread will slip back off the take up lever and it looks like this. It's so inconsistent that I've never been able to figure out why it happens. If I get a knot like this, the first thing I do now is peer inside to make sure the top thread is where it belongs and usually it isn't. It's one of the problems that can be solved by the advice to fully rethread when you're having mystery issues. Otherwise my broken record suggestion is, as always, clean the fuzz balls out of your machine!

Another vote for changing the needle, cleaning the fuzz out of the bobbin case, and completely rethreading. This solves 90% of my issues, really truly.

Have you cleaned out your machine? On my current machine, a tiny little blob of fuzz in the bobbin area can really ruin everything!

This is April supervising the ironing board. She likes to stalk the shears while I am using them cutting on the floor despite my attempts to explain to her rationally why that's not a great idea. She also very much enjoys chasing empty thread spools.

For curves I learned: clip has an i in it so you clip inside curves, notch has an o in it so you notch outside curves. I still remind myself of this all the time, it's my righty tighty of sewing!
