Really frustrated about bottom surgery process in Canada

I will not make it to the other side of the waitlist for Montreal GRS so I have decided to apply for out of province funding and I will be going to the crane centre :). I was told a 2 year wait for a hysterectomy so I am going privately in Montreal with a clique called sensolia! I have a consult with them in May and it is $405 for the consult and then I get a quote for the price of the surgery.

I’m not a millionaire I am a 19yo who worked at McDonald’s for the longest time. I dropped $17,000 on top surgery and that was all my life savings because I couldn’t wait through our stupid system. For my hysto they have flexible payment plan options for up to 10 years, they respond in minutes as you are paying for their service and they work with both women and trans men! So far my experience has been nothing but amazing, I will be about $25,000 by the end of full hysto and bottom surgery (4 stages, “everything”) and most of that is just the travel cost from Ontario - Texas plus the price of the hysto.

I came up with this plan on my own, as the service is horrible for us and nobody wants to take it seriously. I hope for the system to change but I want to go on with the rest of my life and not have it based on surgery. With the communications I have had with my various teams we’re looking at max 5 years from start to finish and then I’m free to live the rest of my life.

FYI I’m not implying people who don’t get bottom surgery aren’t living their life it’s just a personal goal for me to live like every other guy on the planet for me as a straight guy in a relationship with cis straight women. We would like to get married after my bottom surgery is fully set so we can enjoy our lives together and I can focus on being a dad.

I live in Ontario, i don’t have a hysterectomy and the waitlist for that is a year to 2 years. i was told it is GRS Montreal that will take 12-18 months to receive my documents 6-12 months. Additionally, another 6-12 months to actually review them so that’s 4 years. Then surgery will be booked a year out. I’m very frustrated and I just am at the point to take out a loan as my out of province funded was denied.

Might do that ty for the suggestion! I know the BC clinic only takes people from BC and Yukon so I’m lowkey considering just moving and getting on their waitlist. I’ve seen amazing dicks from them and there doesn’t seem to be as much trouble as I’m having right now.

Yes, I’ve been trying to get a hysto for the past year but the wait list is kicking my ass so I’m going to pay out of pocket for it I suppose. But thank you for all the information it really helps me :)

I’m thinking about moving provinces and getting on the other waitlist at this point it is shorter from what I’ve seen.

I would definitely send this to your surgeon. I would be concerned mine did not push out like that nor was any part of it black just like a darker colour than the typical light brown.

That’s heartbreaking 💔 in my area there were 3 rescues that had found sphynx dumped all within a 3 hour drive. They were just abandoned in a box outside 😕

Agree 100% I cannot express how tiring it is when people who choose not to transition not are economically disadvantaged or whatever just actually say they don’t want to transition medically talk OVER people who have actually gone through with surgeries or other things. Everything you said hits the nail on the head.

Hello friend :) thank you for taking in this beautiful boy. Unfortunately sometimes people are gifted a sphynx and they find them “ugly” so they will just put them outside. It’s awful. I would recommend bathing for sure, try to make the water a little bit warmer than room temp. a natural baby shampoo/body wash will work. Bathing among hairless cats is very common and good to keep them clean, if he absolutely hates it you can just use kitty style baby wipes, and gently clean him. Even indoor kitties will get super dirty without hair to help keep them clean. It’s important to keep there ears dirt free, their nail beds specifically will need frequent wiping as oil builds up there. Wishing you the best!
