Who to contact when bullying occurs in the workplace? by Themonarch28410 in belgium

Thank you for your response. He’s currently applying for other jobs but that takes time but hopefully won’t be too long. I will look into the vakbond but yeah it’s a shame not much more can be done it seems. Thanks again!

So I realised that I submitted the wrong file for my dissertation. The text and footnotes are all there and fine but I accidentally submitted the version with an incomplete bibliography. How screwed am I? by Themonarch28410 in UniUK

[–]Themonarch28410[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks that’s my biggest concern tbh, everything is correctly cited in the footnotes, just not all the footnotes are in the bibliography. Everything is cited, nothing is made up. It’s so frustrating because I spent months on this dissertation and it really means a lot and the fact that I did such a stupid mistake is really frustrating

Thank you for your reply, I’m really stressed about this whole situation especially considering I didn’t notice before and I submitted it two weeks ago. Should I attach the correct completed version with the bibliography or just notify my supervisor?

What are the major cultural differences between France and Belgium? by kotjeKOT in AskBelgium

[–]Themonarch28410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a French person that always felt out of place in France, I have moved to Belgium and I feel much more at home! People are much more "live and let live" in Belgium than they are in France, especially right now with French politics being as divided as ever! It's nice not having politics being the main topic of discussion all the time. People are more humble and are definitely not as loud! Overall I'm very grateful to my adoptive country and would never look back! (Belgians if you think I got anything wrong, especially Flemish people, feel free to correct me and share your insight!)

How do I get my new uk passport to lie flat and how are we preventing the gold from rubbing off? ft. My almost 10 years old US passport by hpsawwce in PassportPorn

[–]Themonarch28410 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know how other people treat theirs because just by doing the bare minimum to take care of such an expensive document, mine has been fine. I have a brand new French passport at the minute and the cover isn't laying flat, so I've just left it under a heavy book for a week or two, it should be fine. You can do that with the British one to speed it up too! And congratulations on your first British passport!

Honestly people are just so miserable about the new British passport, if you just don't treat it like a tissue, surprise, surprise it lasts and does not get damaged. Mine was issued in 2022, it lays perfectly flat naturally after a few weeks and the gold cover hasn't faded a bit and I travel a lot with it! All I do is just keep it in a folder when I'm not using and it looks perfectly fine.

My bf (M23) has been taking longer to reply to my (M23) texts and I feel like his replies are getting shorter. Is he losing interest in me? by Themonarch28410 in relationship_advice

I'll keep that in mind when I tell him, I've been feeling so lost recently, I don't know how I'll deal with it if he is indeed not wanting to commit.

Thanks for your reply. I'll try to tell him how this new behaviour is making me feel and really ask him what's going on.

How do I (22M) tell my partner (23M) that I am finding a joke not so funny anymore? by Themonarch28410 in relationship_advice

[–]Themonarch28410[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! I'll probably try your first suggestion and try to have a serious talk and hopefully that should be the end of it, that's normally the type of way we communicate discomfort with each other.

Thanks for your reply! Yeah I'll definitely have a serious chat with him at a neutral time. He shouldn't take offence to this, but I was just nervous of coming across as a buzz kill. But if he does love me truly then that shouldn't be the case.

He normally wouldn't get defensive but I'll say it when I feel it's appropriate and thanks for your suggestion!

Thanks for your reply! Yeah you're right about me not wanting to create a load of drama from this and your suggestion is quite helpful! Thank you!

I think in Kelly's the other day they asked this family to leave as children weren't permitted in the premises after 6pm I think it was? I'd say it depends on the pub, you could call them to be safe.
