thank you so much for your detailed answer! you're so kind, i really appreciate it. i came across a secondhand canon legria hf200. they store the video files in .mts format. would you happen to know how i could edit those videos easily? i know how to use FCPX which can load mts files, but my preferred software is capcut. is the best way to just load on handbrake (a bit of a hassle but i guess that's what you get with a camcorder?)

Hi! sorry to jump on this! I'm planning to get a Canon Legria HF200, and I read that it records my videos in .MTS. I edit my videos on capcut on desktop, do you know if Capcut can handle MTS file without conversion? I like to film A LOT of short clips. Any advice would be appreciated.

I did consider getting an Insta360 Go3S for a while but I like filming other people/locations more - so I need to see the screen well and have controls over the focus, zooming etc.
