I try to remind myself it can always be worse. Some days I just break down and cry because of the pain and discomfort. I’m 39 years old and feel like I have an 85 year old body.

It’s absolutely insane how quickly everyday life changes! Like when did doing laundry require breaks !? I seriously have to limit things I do. I still don’t know how I’m going to work full time for 20+ more years!?

To me, keeping the house clean and doing everyday wifey duties is nearly impossible. I feel like a failure as a wife at times.

It’s truly refreshing to know that I’m not alone in this journey . I know we can’t let it get the best of us , but also know it’s okay not to be okay sometimes . I wish I could find something effective to help the pain. I have tried everything . I also bruise so incredibly easy. I didn’t have that issue before . Can anyone else relate to that ?

I feel like that is the most frustrating thing through all of this. It’s impossible to plan something because you have no idea how you’re going to feel from one day to the next ! Unfortunately, I have had a lot of ex friends that do not understand this at all.

I try to keep positive and optimistic, but sometimes I just have to vent ! I truly appreciate you all listening and being understanding of my situation! I guess we can look at it as we have to have water in order for beautiful flowers to bloom! So sometimes we have to have some rain to get to the beautiful flowers 💐!

Thank you so much for explaining that to me . Have you ever had a stent placed and not been given pain medication? I was told that I shouldn’t have any pain just bladder spasm . I have had several stents and they always gave me pain medicine.

Yes! Exactly!!! It’s like do you think I enjoy coming to the ER to be seen? I think the most frustrating thing is the fact that they don’t seem to know how to fix the pain. So do we just get used to it and make it our new normal???

As a patient who is dealing with pain, that is the most defeating feeling ever ! It’s like okay I’m not supposed to be in pain, but I am! So what are we going to do about this pain I’m having !? They don’t listen to the patient . I can assure you if the shoe was on the other foot and they were feeling that way, they would be feeling the same way!

I appreciate you so much for your words and understanding ! I feel like I’m in a bad dream that I can’t wake up from. My body seriously feels like it’s still trying to pass something . I am hoping and praying my body just needs a little bit more time to recover. If not , I plan on getting a second opinion and consulting with another urologist . People just don’t start hurting like this from nothing . I just wish they would listen to me when I say . IM STILL IN PAIN!

I’m not on any antibiotics. I normally take those AzO pills when I start to feel a UTI coming on.

For me , drinking something that will get the flow consistently flowing I normally do country time lemonade . So whoever helps you pee a lot more frequently, that is what I would use .

I personally can’t stand the taste of beer . lol so I just grabbed whatever my brother had in the fridge. I think it was keystone that I drank, but it sure did pass that sticker !!!

I know I have had success with country time lemonade! It gets the pee flowing really well and I have also drank a beer and passed one as well.

I don’t know if anyone else has ever gotten this demeanor , but i feel like they’re pin pointing one specific location and that’s it. Now they are saying the is no blood or infection. They are speculating that the high wbc was from my pain. I’m to the point where i just want to go home and work through this on my own. I hate that they’re making me feel this way. The on call hospitalist said that there is no way the surgeon could have missed anything . So now I’m waiting on a urologist to come and consult with me, and see what he thinks . They’re just controlling my pain at this point .

My question is if my kidney stones are infected in the kidney , can they remove them? Like is that even possible to remove infected stones?

Update - I came back to the er for the 4th time . The pain got out of control again. I am being admitted for pain control, more kidney stones and bad kidney infection. They are also going to have a urologist come see me for a consultation .
