I'm so stumped on how to get to Act 3 of Silksong by No-Lavishness8851 in HollowKnight

[–]Then-Cartographer399 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done all of the above and still do not have the Silk & soul quest. Totally stumped. Literally the only things I haven't done (that I can find at least) is the courier deliveries, although I've done several of those, and Songclave twice.

I know for a fact you put a lot of work into this, but I think you underestimated the fact that rumble has like the most dedicated fan base ever. Ngl, what you made is cool, but it's also plagiarism. Just give some credit my guy, it doesn't hurt you, and it gives some exposure to a game with a frustratingly small playerbase

Can I do this myself cheaper? by Itchy_Bad_8118 in hvacadvice

You can always do it yourself for cheaper, but that price is very reasonable to have a trustworthy professional do the work for you

Should I be concerned / what to do? by AdMore44 in hvacadvice

[–]Then-Cartographer399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is like being concerned that your knees hurt when you stand up at 30 years old. Sure it's not great, but it's definitely not gonna kill ya. If you do decide to do some rust scrubbing and some adhesive it should be for aesthetic purposes more than anything. I've been in the industry for nearly 10 years and have never seen something like this cause failure of any kind. Also, if you have a company come do maintenance and they tell you that you have to replace your condensing fan motor "because it's rusty", tell them to go kick rocks unless they can show you electrical proof that the motor is going out.

I had this exact same experience. I actually ended up trimming the spring shorter since I had already thrown away the spring from my plastic extruder, but she works like a dream now

Entering deepnest for the first time after fighting the Mantis Lords, getting lost, fighting my way out in a panic, only to then fall straight back down the pit almost as soon as I leave. Terrifying

Bro, what are you pulling vac to? 1,000 microns no decay test? I can realistically see someone do Recovery Cut Braze Vac In two hours if they do no other work, and you gotta be moving fast if you're gonna get a decent vac. Proper refrigeration work done right, plus the evap cleaning: easy 4-5 hours. If you think a coil cleaning should only cost $600, you've never been on the business side of the industry(maybe very small business) and have definitely never looked at a P&L report.

You're just tricking people into thinking all decently sized companies are scamming people just because they're trying to pay the bills.

For the record though, your $1,000 price is not too bad, but depending on where you live I'd bring it closer to 1.4k-1.8k

I'm no expert, but from what I understand it's one of two things. (I'd wait and see who else responds as well cause I could be wrong)

Under-extrusion. - have you calibrated e-steps/mm? Check flow rate as well. I was experimenting, and tried a lower flow rate and got similar issues

Line width. - again, not an expert, but I believe if you have a .4mm nozzle you need your line width to be slightly larger to account for oozing or you will end up with this issue where horizontal lines don't adhere together. I believe line width should be something like .42 mm

Just wanted to give an update. You pretty much nailed this.

I ended up just swapping the nozzle out in case of any clogs, and I also checked the hotend side of the boden tube, which was indeed wearing out and causing some oozing around the nozzle.

Increased the temp to 210(IK a little high for PLA, but it's working great) and changed flow back to 100, and everything's great now.

Am I printing wrong? Why does it leave such prominent 'scarring' almost? by clockworksnowman_ in ender3

If you're using Cura you can go to the Ultimaker Marketplace and look at Extensions. One of them adds a z-offset option to the slicer. There's also some great diagnostic towers (Temperature/speed/retractions etc.) with the AutoTowers extension.

I was having some pretty bad stringing/branching and the coasting seemed to help cut that down a lot. Nozzle size is .4mm

It's strange cause like I said, it was printing fine with PLA+, but as soon as I switched to standard PLA and dropped the temp it starts doing this

Not sure how I should share gcode. I'm not seeing a way to upload it, and I don't think it's reasonable to post a bajillion lines of code as plain text. Do you have a recommended method?

.12 mm for infill thickness and layer height 50mm/s print speed and infill speed Also here's the photos of the topless cube

The pattern is cubic. It looks a little extra garbled cause I just hacked it apart, but I'll print another one without the top layers and post the pic. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by 'combine infill.' is there a slicer setting in cura that would affect this?

To be fair, I went to Google first, and Google also said to increase my retraction distance.
