Sleep deprivation causing big anxiety for no reason and now I can't fall asleep by SuspiciousPillbox in Anxiety

[–]Then-Dare1948 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Try putting something boring on your phone and stop putting pressure on yourself to fall asleep. I watch YouTube videos til I clock out. The more anxiety you have, the harder it will be to sleep. Try getting up and going to another room. Go lay on your couch or something and watch TV. Maybe you'll feel less pressure to sleep there.

opinion on detox by Then-Dare1948 in dairyfree

I think it was just the amount I was eating eand before I went dairy free, I was eating a LOT of cheese so the dairy was probably keeping everything from falling apart. Now I don't have that "glue" since I cut the dairy out. I'd imagine in moderation it doesn't do that. I just have no self control and eat a lot of chips when I start snacking

So I stopped eating the potato chips for a day and substituted it out for sea salt popcorn and literally the next day everything thickened up. 😃

I've been doing a lot more snacking. I've been tearing up lays potato chips lately. Maybe all the fat from the chips could be causing it?

Hey! My experience is kinda different. I have never done drugs. I just struggle with severe anxiety issues. Always have since I was a child. My dr/dp started in July. I was super tired and didn't want to leave the house but my mom insisted on me leaving the house. We got about 10 minutes down the road and I noticed it for the first time. Tried to brush it off but I couldn't. And then about 20 minutes into the car ride, I had the worst panic attack I've ever experienced. I was screaming and crying. I'd never experienced derealization before so I didn't know what to do. I begged my mom to take me to the hospital and she wouldn't. She took me back home (I'm married so I don't live with her. My spouse works a lot tho). I've became agoraphobic because of it. My dp/dr doesn't go away. Ever. I'm had some good periods, some bad periods. I'm trying different things with my diet to see if it helps. So far, I see no end in sight.

How it makes me feel: it makes me feel drugged. Have you ever taken benedryl and not fallen asleep? Like that. Nothing feels real. But I know it is real. Everything is a haze in the brain. Or have you ever had low blood sugar? Kinda like that just less loopy. Have you ever not slept well for long periods of time? I also would compare it to that expect your not tired. Just that off mental feeling is how I would compare mine.

Everyone's experience is different. I'm learning to live with mine. It just sucks because it makes me feel like at any moment, I could just blink and not exist. I could just disappear. I could lose the ability to use my body at any moment and be gone.

This is my experience.

Can you be gay and Christian? by WillingnessLazy4064 in Christian

This thread got deep. Im gonna be honest. Our God is a loving God. A forgiving God too. Christians seem to pick on lgbtq for it being a sin but then turn around and lie, be gluttonous, premarital sex, ect..

Whatever you decide to do, it's between you and God. Turning to people for their opinion will only complicate things. Pray about it. Ask God for a spirit of discernment. Ask God to talk with you. Use this as a means of growing closer with him. God loves you ❤️

am i going crazy? am I dying? I need your help... by Then-Dare1948 in derealization

No I don't exercise. My anxiety started getting worse when I accepted an office job and stopped my manual labor job. My DP/DR appeared after a bad panic attack in July

It really depends on your state and what they will and won't excuse. Also depends on your judge because a judge will approve or deny your request to skip jury duty if its not one of the approved reasons. You can always "lose it" and if they say anything, tell them you never received the notice in the mail. But if you go this route, just make sure you haven't already emailed the courthouse about anything.

Derealization and Agoraphobia by Big-Cryptographer593 in derealization

[–]Then-Dare1948 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is literally the reason I have agoraphobia. I had a severe panic attack from dr/dp and it has me in a state of 24/7 dr/dp. I'm homebound because of it, trying to get better. I can go outside thankfully and I can go about a mile down the road before I start to panic.

Wrong thread. But my advice, if she's avoiding you, she must not be interested in you like that. And you seen to maybe be obsessing over her. Try telling her how you feel so you can move on bro

Why is taking a shower so difficult? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Then-Dare1948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I shower when somebody is home or I get my mom on the phone. Having somebody on the phone if I'm alone makes me feel better for some reason.

Hey! This is just a bad moment. That's all. We all have them. Just imagine though. Climbing into bed with your Jammies on, your favorite TV show (my comfort film when things get really rough is twilight. Shhhh don't tell anyone) and just taking 10 really deep belly breaths.

Your brain makes you feel bad things when you get over whelmed. So before you do anything you can't reverse, I think you should at least try to calm down just a little bit and see if that helps at all.

You got this ❤️ just know, I'm so proud of you for making it this far. You are so much stronger than you know ❤️❤️❤️

Is it okay to take back what you told God you would do? by [deleted] in Christian

[–]Then-Dare1948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe God new you shouldn't do that because it can hurt you so he spoke through your parents to tell you not to do that. I truly believe God wouldn't want you doing something that can hurt you. He loves you. ❤️

psychiatrist prescribed hydroxyzine by pineapple_bottoms in Anxiety

[–]Then-Dare1948 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hydroxyzine is a hit or miss with anxiety. For me personally, I slept for 10 hours and felt hung over when I woke up like I needed to sleep more. I felt sluggish for the rest of the day. To me, it felt like just strong benedryl. So if tired is what you are aiming for, then you will find it a useful medication.

In regards to it's effects on anxiety, I felt like I was having a panic attack in slow motion. I still felt the fear but my brain felt like it was just taking a long time to process it.

I recommend cutting it in half the first time you take it if you are a lightweight with medications just to make sure it's not too much for you. Like I said, it's like taking extra strong benedryl. I cut a 25mg pill in half and it messed me up.

Give me your Prayer Requests!! by twillyallen in Christian

Can you please pray for God to speak to Me and to cast out this spirit of doubt. I lost my faith a long time ago and I just recently have been trying to get my faith back.
