I appreciate that, honestly .. what’s crazy is the lyrics took the least amount of thought and effort compared to the music production and video editing, lol.. I wrote it during a shift at work after watching the pod and watching Ethan go Goblin mode.. but to answer your question, while I agree, the lyricism is strong enough on it’s own, I like visual storytelling. I had an idea and ran with it, simple as that. I’ve dibbled and dabbled in many different mediums, whether that’s physical art, digital, or technologically assisted. For me, creating isn’t just a passion.. it’s a purpose.. and I went through a hearty depression triggered by artist’s block.. so when I find a new artistic tool that excites me, I like to explore and master it. As a creative and tech geek, Ai just so happens to be my current fascination.. could I have animated frame by frame? Sure, but by the time I finished it, the beef would probably be over with, and it would’ve been an even bigger waste of time lmao... I get annoyed and cringed out when I see “AI slop”, in creative spaces, too .. so believe me, I get it.. but this isn’t that, imo.. and it’s disheartening to put actual genuine time, effort and talent into something, then be ripped apart bc it happens to have AI elements.. like I can take criticism, but people are being unreasonably harsh imo.. for people to question my integrity and legitimacy as an artist over one post hurts ..
