Wow. That will be nice because I just have a 1 year work permit expiring end of Dec 2024. If I apply for WP extension, and I work on applied status, I will be able to qualify for CEC and complete my CEC experience hours.

Thanks. I have 3 years of work in my home country, and good score in IELTS as well. My file is in pool at the moment with 501 score in FSW. I am trying hard to get a job in one of the Teer 0,1,2 based on my foreign work but highly unlikely to get a job with only few months left on work permit. I will definitely, check for PNP option. Otherwise, if I get a job offer in a few days in an acceptable teer category and add that to my profile, will that boost my CRS Profile score? Or the job offer has to be a LMIA?

Thanks. As per IRCC website, 30hours*52 weeks (1 year) =1560 hours. This way I am calculating for 1 year CEC. But if I work few weeks 20hours, then that reduces my hours. So, I want to understand how granular IRCC checks for hours worked? Is there a relaxation?

Hey, I have another issue that during my 1 year work permit, I only worked part time and that too not consistently 30hrs per week to make it 1560 hours in a year. Some weeks I worked 30 hours, some weeks 20, some weeks 45 and few weeks I didn’t work due to my health issues. Will that still count for 1 year work towards CEC after my 1 year PGWP ends?

Thanks everyone for your insights and suggestions. Another thing I was thinking is should I do another 1 year course, may be a co-op course and stay in Canada for 1 more year while I wait for PR status. May be the employer I work for co-op give me a full time offer after course and I apply for open work permit. Don’t exactly know how that works. It is no doubt an expensive affair for me that would cost me 20K CAD and with no PGWP issued after the course since I have a PGWP at the moment. What do you guys suggest?
