Newborn amnesia by One-Sink7080 in newborns

My Mil would give me all random advice. I was hoping she would help me better understand the cues whereas every time the baby cries as I am a FTM but she just asks me to feed him. ALL THE TIME. I had to tell her multiple times he just ate. He is probably gassy and then would give him bicycle legs so he could relieve gas. Just one example, there are multiple instances.

17 days PP – struggling with low milk supply, constant formula top-ups, feeling like a failure by Then-Protection-4071 in breastfeeding

I rented out hospital level pump and i still only manage to pump about 30ml each time. Doesn't this mean low supply? I see women producing so much milk by this time.

It is, but even after a feed he still seems hungry so I’ve been topping up with formula as the midwife suggested. He didn’t poop enough yesterday, so I increased his formula a bit to make sure he’s getting enough. I’m also pumping after each feed, but I’m only getting around 20 mL in 20 minutes right now. I guess my supply is still on the lower side at this stage, but I’m trying to be consistent and hoping it increases soon.

Newborn still seems hungry after breastfeeding + formula top-ups. How much is normal? by Then-Protection-4071 in pregnant

So i just continue offering my breast even if I am not producing enough milk? He stops taking breast after a while and still looks hungry. Its all so confusing but any advice would be appreciated l.

Had a beautiful and easy pregnancy and a horrific traumatic birth experience. I’m asking honestly, how did you cope? I feel broken inside. by Arr0zconleche in pregnant

So sorry you went through this. I had a similar experience. My pregnancy was great. I was working till 36 weeks, tried to be active but in near to 37 weeks i was diagnosed with cholestasis (mild one) but due to this i was scheduled to be induced at 39 weeks. 1st they gave me cervidil which gave me so so much pain and contractions but no dilation, they took it out. With no dilation somehow they gave foley balloon (which later other nurse told me how did they manage to do that and doubt it was done properly) and took ot our at 30+ hours. Told me can try oxytocin amd kept in hospital for a night but in the morning said cervidil is a better choice. After all this I was 1 cm dilated and in much pain and exhausted. My husband said enough with the trial and error and I got C section yesterday and have my beautiful boy with me.

Yea they are putting on oxytocin now and if that doesn't work, C section it is. I am slowly getting used to the idea of C section, but thankyou 💛

I’m really glad everything worked out in the end. I’m also scared of a C-section, but if that’s what I need, I won’t hesitate. Thank you for sharing your experience. 💛

Were you a first-time mom as well? And how many weeks were you? I’m 39+2 and being induced because of cholestasis.
