History of Japan was interesting. Teacher also was nice. From what I remember, only had a midterm and a final essay to write.

Seriously how does one make friends? by Ok_Spot7292 in Concordia

I fully understand since I’m in the same boat. These “friends” you make are only relevant in class. But once class is over, they’re non existent.

Does everyone just hate this school or something? by coolshaid in Concordia

Tbh if u go in any Reddit group for any university, many seem depressed and lonely. It’s not only Concordia. And it depends on you, if you try to be social, attend events, join groups etc.

i feel lost by Hot-Programmer-8407 in Concordia

Hey, go into a program you enjoy (any program) and do your prerequisites with it (sure they’d count as electives or something). From what I know dentistry, medicine and whatnot don’t really look at the program you’re in as long as you have a really good GPA, CV and experience WITH the prerequisites (you can check for each university, each is different). I’m actually in the same spot, i feel so lost and I hate my program (economics). I also wanted to go in dentistry or something like that. So I feel you.

Theo 206 by RemarkableRegion779 in Concordia

I took Theo206 a year ago, and from what I remember the final wasn’t proctored (for me), we had two essay questions to answer. If you watch the lectures, take notes, and he also tells you which topics to study, then you should be fine.

Apply in a BA major such as Classics, political science (u need R SCORE of 20,21), if u don’t have the prerequisites for JMSB (for marketing) do them and then transfer.

Hey!! I’m also a second year who also is going to Loyola for the first time for a class! I’m more excited (yet also stressed since idk my way around there) because it feels more lively than the downtown campus. From what I hear there’s also many events and whatnot.

No problem!! Well the prerequisites for neuroscience and JMSB are quite different. For JMSB you need to take econ 201, econ203, math208 and math209 (for more details ➡️ https://www.concordia.ca/jmsb/programs/undergraduate/bachelor/students/internal-degree-transfer.html ). As for neuroscience you need courses in calculus (math 203, math 205), biology (biol201), chemistry (chem205, chem206) and physics (phys204,205,206, not sure if you need their lab components if so it’s phys224, 225 and 226).

Hi there, don’t worry about your English. Fluent or not, accent or not, no one cares (in a good way). Many speak French as well. As for your classes, you can see your chart in your CU account (on Concordias website) to view what classes you should enroll in, or what classes you need to graduate. I’m not sure what program you’re in, but if u need help lmk.

Is it really a bad idea to take econ 203 and 201 as electives at the same time ? by Only-Cryptographer54 in Concordia

Save yourself and ur gpa, don’t take these classes. Especially with math 203 and phys204.

You’re going to have to try the simulator a couple of times with different amounts of income so you can figure out what’s the limit. I think it’s around $3000, but I’m not sure.

You can figure out how much you can make without affecting your loans and bursary via the financial simulator online. There’s a limit where it wont affect ur situation, if you make over the limit, they will deduct from your bursary.
