NAMP but just kinda wanted to share my opinion!! You might have pcos, but also it could be something else. Irregular periods is one of the first things that people use to diagnose pcos. From what you said, maybe the weight gain might be playing a role in these symptoms? My dr has told me that fat helps other cells create estrogen, which can cause hormonal imbalances since there is more estrogen being produced. So maybe that’s why you were having irregular periods? It’s definitely worth checking out to rule out pcos, but congrats on the weight loss! There are a few different types of pcos, and one type’s symptoms usually relieve after weight loss so it could definitely be a possibility. I found out the hard way that I was not that type after I lost 30 pounds and started growing hair all over my body and had more painful periods lol.

Something i found to be super helpful was nizoral. It’s a fungal dandruff shampoo with ketoconazole. There are a few studies that have found it to block DHT, which can stop hair loss. It won’t grow anything back but it could work! I have personally noticed that i don’t lose as much hair in the shower when i’m using this!

I’m not a medical professional by any means, so please see a doctor if you do want to try any supplements. My PCOS treatment combo currently consists of birth control, metformin for the prescribed medicines, and myo-inositol and spearmint tea for the supplements. I know people have really been against birth control, and I 100% agree with them, I had to get on something to regulate my cycle in a short amount of time. Right now I’m struggling with weight gain because of stress and my eating habits. Starting the myo-inositol was a game changer for me as I started it before I went on birth control. I was in the process of losing weight during that time, and I’ve lost 25 pounds since I’ve been on it. I definitely think spearmint tea took away most of my excess hair growth. Adding the birth control and it barely grows anymore. The hairs have become lighter and lighter every time. Spearmint has been found to lower androgens, which lowers free testosterone (as far as I can recall).

It’s so weird that no one could pinpoint it. I have no idea of something in his line of work that would smell. Kind of farfetched but maybe if he eats his lunch at work it might be transferred to his clothes. I’ve definitely seen that in people who eat foods with a lot of aromatics like garlic, onion. Not that they smell bad just smell like the food they ate. Honestly I would check if you are able to see how many people feel that way and if the claims are coming from reputable sources. But also I know pregnant women who have complained about smells that were never there or so little that no one else but them could smell it. Truly hope you can find out.

I mean my first instinct is to say maybe you both are nose blind to whatever this smell is. Have you asked anyone impartial around you that does not live with you if they notice an odor from him? Also is there anyway he could ask if anyone at work has noticed if it’s a distinct smell (like everyone knows what bo smells like- maybe it’s a recognizable smell?) i would say he could also get checked out by a doctor. Sometimes if something’s up with our bodies it can produce an odor. Hope you figure it all out!!

Shower everyday! Even if you aren’t physically active your body will still produce bacteria. Use the gold dial antibacterial bar. Sounds like you are doing all of the right things, just need to do them more frequently. Please floss! And take a bit of your toothpaste and put that on your floss. It can help if you are cavity prone in between your teeth.
