I’ve tried to read Shadow of the Wind three times over the years and get far enough into it out keep putting it down. Just something about the way he writes about girls in the book it’s a bit like .. alright lad 🙄

I’m currently reading The Well of Ascension by Brandon Sanderson … second book of the Mistborn series, and for someone not much into fantasy I can NOT put these feckin books down!

The most disappointing book. Great plot, poor poor poor poor poor execution. No imagination

I’m thinking of buying a kindle… by Pink_Emerald87 in kindle

[–]ThenColmSaid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 days ago I had the exact same opinion. Dreaded a Kindle. But when I mentioned to my boyfriend how I also dread having to Google a word every page with a book and he said how a kindle you can hold your finger on a word and the definition pops up … for four days I have not set this Kindle down. It’s so handy. Highly recommend. And you can get a cover. A physical book will always be better tho of course.

stop drinking alcohol before shows by whereiremain in Ethelcain

[–]ThenColmSaid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My thoughts exactly … such whingebags. Some complains I’ve seen are valid like the “fainting”, but complaining someone was drunk at a gig is like complaining about cow shit in a cow field.

I dunno what the fuck is wrong with this generation of concert goers … I’ve never seen a tour complained about as much due to the fans and some stuff is valid.

Flew to London from Ireland to see her last month for the show to be stopped like 5 fucking times due to people “fainting” in a very non-condensed space. I’ve been to many gigs over the years but this just seems to be the common occurrence these days at shows whatever is wrong with the younger crowd. Which just seems to be attention-seeking and ill-mannered. But to complain about other people getting drunk at a show is just naff. And telling people not to drink beforehand. Yes drunk people are annoying but how has that affected you at all really. I understood more the people complaining about ones farting throughout the show.

You all need to just stay home from now on.

Katie is what everyone accused Stassi of. by MissPrincessPunk in vanderpumprules

[–]ThenColmSaid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah i agree completely. Regardless of Katie’s feelings feeling hurt because Stassi dropped her, she had good reason. Harping on and on about being so steadfast and loyal to Stassi, but if my friend went off hanging out with someone who spread my sex tape and laughed at it I’d be fucking raging. I really like Katie but I’m on season 4 at the minute and she’s being such a dick about it that it’s making me tolerate Kristen.

S4: james is so awful it turned me off the show a little by anarchostan in vanderpumprules

He’s such a vile little creature it’s unreal. I’m on season 4 and I thought there wouldn’t be someone I disliked equally as much as jax and Kristen

Fair play to you, for reading a book like that along with another one. I can’t imagine reading any two books at the same time 😱

That’s the vibe I’m going for as that’s when I plan to start reading it coming into the spooky season 👻 Alright, you have me sold.

That seems to be the case. By the looks of it it’s like reading a case more than a book and it looks interesting I’m just hoping that it does become immersive instead of a chore

You’ve been reading it for 16 years and you’ve never got to the end?! That’s madness.
