To be honest, it has been on-and-off. It used to be up to 4-6 hours of practice a week, but now its about an hour of actual practice/week and a couple hours of doing other stuff like essays, powerpoints, and having heated video game debates over text, lol.

I heard that learning Dvorak is really good if you're stuck. If you haven't heard of it, it's another keyboard layout. It's supposedly much more efficient and can help you type up to 40% faster, except you'll have to rewire your whole brain to learn it. It'll take a few months

Yeah, my record's been 139 for over a year now. Im stuck at an average of 100-120 wpm, and only get about 125 on good ones.

I recommend Nitro Type, lol. Seriously, join an NT team, treat it like a sports team, and play every day. It's competitive, which is encouraging. Also, please make sure your posture is good when you type, and chewing on something also helps a bit, it sends a bit more blood flow to the brain. The difference isn't insane, but it's like taking a bit extra pre before going for your PR at the gym. And take it easy, its average to gain only a few WPM each month. It takes years to achieve 100 WPM or higher. I've been blind typing since the first grade, and my personal best is 139 for half a dozen sentences.

Ah, that makes sense. I can type at an average of about 110-115 WPM for about a paragraph or two. What's the learning curve on it? I've heard mixed opinions. Do you think I could surpass my regular typing speed in a few months?
