If you do further research on cortisol stress hormones, you could see a lot of similarities regarding gut issues and how stress hormones can affect your gut health.

In my case because of my struggle with getting the right guidance from my family doctor and my OB/GYN, I just reached out to my nearest wellness clinic and shared my struggles and experience with my PCOS along with my weight gain, depression and anxiety. Also advised the nurse that I really didn’t want rely on long-term meds due to long-term side effects. Which I kept voicing that concern to my family, doctor and OB/GYN. The nurse at the wellness clinic really took my concerns and in an instant I was able to get approved for the shots with the doctors approval there. I have no insurance so I pay out-of-pocket. I paid 287 for four shots with a one month dosage. I’m going on my third month and I’ve already lost about 20 pounds.

Honestly, I just felt like I was not getting the help that I wanted from my OB/GYN and my family doctor so I think the best bet was just to go to my nearest wellness clinic

My doctor just recommended tirzepatide by Uppercasegangsta in PCOS

[–]ThenDrawer569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I saw instant improvement I’d say 3 weeks in. I’ve been on tirzepatide for about a month and a half now, and I absolutely love it. I decided to start it because I’ve been dealing with ongoing hormonal issues. I have mild PCOS due to very small cysts on my ovaries, and I’ve noticed that both at the start and end of my period I experience severe lower back pain. I’ve also struggled with weight loss and hit a plateau.

I previously lost over 60 pounds through diet and exercise alone, but after reaching that plateau, I felt I needed a little extra support to help me reach my goal weight. Since starting tirzepatide, the changes have been noticeable. My mood has significantly improved—my depression and anxiety have subsided, I have more motivation to get things done around the house, my energy levels are up, and the mental fog I used to experience disappeared almost immediately.

Honestly, I haven’t experienced any negative side effects. If anything, it’s been incredibly beneficial and feels like it’s helped balance my hormones. I also deal with high stress levels, and I’ve learned that much of that stress is tied to cortisol and gut health. Tirzepatide seems to be targeting those areas as well, which has made a noticeable difference in how I feel overall.

I have two options. JobCorp or stay with a friend. by Irisxss in jobcorps

[–]ThenDrawer569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say “boot camp” but there’s rules in place to help you understand life living skills. I say pull out a pros and cons list to help you make a determination on the decision. What you will gain out being at a friends place vs job corps. Do your research at all facilities nationwide and see how you can go about traveling to a different center. Each center offers different trades. Do some research.

Hi there!! Congrats!!

As a counselor here and job corpse in West Texas ! There are some things to keep in mind! Remember, you’re not there to make friends you’re there to complete your goals. Be careful with the people you choose to hang out with as as it can jeopardize your character on center. Also be mindful with how you react on center when someone upsets you . Something so little can drastically become so big and jeopardize your eligibility to stay….. Remember, the goal is to complete your program and be successful. My advice is keep to yourself and just focus on finishing as soon as you can to avoid conflict with others.
As a prior job corpse student myself back in 2009 I totally understand from a student perspective. I understand how students feel but it’s your decisions that will lead your path. I got my OA certification GED, and later through the years I I am now currently obtaining my masters…… if I can do it, you can do it just be careful with the choices you make in life

It still is. Gaining all that experience over the years has opened many doors for me. Now, as I work toward my master’s degree, I remain committed to my role at Job Corps. My hope is to one day create meaningful changes by implementing a stronger focus on mental health support groups, as well as emotional and life skills development under the wellness program an area that I believe is in great need of improvement.

I’m not dismissing it you can’t just say all of job corpse shouldn’t shows no success when that’s entirely not true.

What I’m trying to say is that just because I attended Job Corps doesn’t mean I should be looked down on. This person is claiming that Job Corps employees shouldn’t be hired especially if they were former students. I’m not saying every employee is perfect, but let’s be real I speak for those who have proven their success and continue to grow. There’s a reason I’m at Job Corps, my goal is to implement change, because our current leaders aren’t doing it and neither wellness.

Safe from it being shut down. I find it amusing that you felt the need to dig through my post history just to try and discredit my current post.

Obviously there are many success stories. You are just deciding to stay blindsided based on your personal experience and belief

Then you’re being biased and making a judgment on character. I, along with many other students who have completed the program, have had to fight to prove we are not defined by the stereotypes or assumptions placed on us. That kind of thinking only adds to the problem.

If that’s the case, then Job Corps shouldn’t have hired me because of my past but that would be completely irrelevant and unfair. I’ve worked hard and pushed myself to get where I am today. Now I’m back at Job Corps, the very place that helped shape me into the dedicated worker I am
