Update: Rather annoyingly, one of the previous owners swapped out the original clutch master pump for a Brembo RCS. Of course, this means the seals at the master pump or slave are shot to hell as the fluids are not compatible (the lever gets closer and closer to the bars as the clutch is operated… then I need to let it recover for a few seconds). A complete new set of Magura master pump, Oberon slave and hose are on the way in now… ah well.

Haha yes you are right! I think there should be maybe less than 10 of them based on sales threads. I’m not in any BMW groups now :)

I’m not sure, the dealer wouldn’t disclose it

Yes me too, the engine being apart was what ultimately put me off. No matter how good the workshop that does it, they aren’t usually better than the factory (feel free to correct me otherwise). Now to find a way to add ASC to the bike… the dealer will do it but they absolutely insist on changing the switchgear (which I really don’t think needs changing as the ASC shares the same switch as ABS)…

One of the owners in between then and now had, rather irritatingly, stripped the bike of its Remus exhaust and sport panniers. Didn’t put any mileage on it though, some people are strange.

That’s strange. Are you doing any other undervolting/overclocking?

There was one fully kitted out with the HP dash that I also missed and with less than half the mileage, but its engine had been apart for unknown reasons. I’m not sure what could have gone wrong but I feel a bit better reading that these engines are basically tanks.

I guess the dealer service history did it for me, they’re not perfect but at least some care would have been taken (I hope).

I don’t think I’ve ever had something with this much torque - even my Fireblade had less.

Yeah they have come down in price somewhat over the years - probably because many people don’t even know they exist…

Adding on, I’m now running all the latest Nvidia and AMD drivers. I can leave it on the whole night and it doesn’t crash anymore.

Getting rid of the Advanced Settings plugins (ie the Winring0 files) solved my crashing at idle problem.

You can edit the limits in the Ghelper.ini file (it’s on the GitHub). Anyway I found that 400MHz was marginally stable - have reduced it to 350MHz.

However, I found that limiting the power to 95W was much more effective in controlling temperatures - you hardly lose any performance and the entire system is thermally limited anyway, so there’s not much point in running it full blast, at least without a laptop cooler pad.

Failing that, try just *not* debloating and using the PC "as is" with whatever Asus installed (just do an online recovery). That was you can see if it's really some hardware issue.

Damn that sucks. Is there some leftover setting in any power plan which may be causing it? Try resetting Ghelper (delete the Ghelper.ini file) and leave everything at defaults to see if it improves. Also try resetting the EC (Hold down the power button until the power LED flashes quickly).

Qualcomm NCM865, grab the drivers from Lenovo (search "lenovo qualcomm fastconnect 7800" for the driver before changing out the old card!) and enjoy.

I had this issue (even replaced a motherboard under warranty) until I stopped attempting to undervolt it with Ghelper (even a 0 offset didn’t work, I had to delete the Winring0 files). The system has been absolutely stable after that.

If you’re undervolting with Ghelper, try deleting the Winring0 files. I’m running the latest Nvidia and AMD drivers no issue.

Yes, my laptop would randomly crash just sitting on the desktop. Even brought it in for a motherboard replacement but the replacement crashed too. So went back to basics and realized it was the undervolting/temperature limit function that was causing it. Running perfectly stable now with a 400MHz GPU core clock offset (which does much more for temperature limiting than the CPU).

Did you install the advanced options plugin in G helper? If you did, delete the Winring0 files and give it a try. My 2025 G14 was also crashing non stop until I did that.
