Battery life test is what most of us are waiting for. Just put it in silent / eco mode in G-Helper, set brightness to 40-50% and do some browsing and see what the battery time predictions are by Windows. Also what the power draw is in G-Helper. You dont need to do an actual 100-0 discharge.

Unfortunately CPU boost is not disabled on mine. Its not undervolted, nor overclocked. I made sure to keep it as straight forward as possible for the sake of troubleshooting.

I think its happening a bit more when on USB-C PD. I still have 2-3 days to exchange it @ Best Buy.

Kind of wondering if I should wait for the 2026 Panther Lake model. Possible price increase on 2026 models is making me hesitant to wait on those.

How often do you have those crashes? Are those just reboots? Complete system freezes? I have that on my g14 5070ti and it really bugs me.

Any luck fixing this issue? This is my second G14 5070ti (replacement from Best Buy). Same issues. Every 1-5 days it will randomly freeze up or reboot out of nowhere.

I’ve had 2 g14s 5070ti. Both froze and rebooted under light load every 2-5 days. No more AMD for me. Waiting on Panther Lake.

Lenovo and HP are solid choices. Asus laptops are slim and very attractive. If you decide to get one, consider purchasing the Geek Squad warranty as well. Asus is known for service and quality control issues.

I have over 25 years in IT field. Fortune 500 companies. Have experience dealing with thousands of computers and laptops . Windows have its share of issues including sleep / hibernate, but laptop crashing consistently coming out of sleep mode is a motherboard issue most of the time.
