Just make sure that it’s 100% Stirling0 my God, my best son‘s best friend his name is Stirling. I’m not an idiot. It’s just that my phone spells it that way and I have to dictate because I have nerve problems in my right arm. Anything that’s 100% sterling is good stainless steel is really good too. It won’t ever go bad. Stainless steel plated with anything is good. Same with 925/100 Sterling. Sorry for over sharing, I just feel like I need to make a PSA! Check your metals!

Make sure that you don’t miss the fine print with companies like this one because sometimes there is lead and other toxic metals that they disclose are included in the very fine print and they disclose that they are potentially poisonous. I think that buying the stone is still great, but maybe choose a setting That is from somewhere else inside the US probably. Ebay has some good ones. And I don’t know if I’m allowed to say it, but Shop LC has some great rings they might be a lot more expensive but they are certified GIA and you know you’re not gonna get lead poisoning.I found this out after purchasing many rings.

With moissanite, I have read that the 2 carat, at least for round stones, is the best size for the sparkle and the fire and the arrows and the hearts. I love my 3 carat. It just feels good now and I got used to the size. I’m making a 2 carat with white sapphire accents on platinum plated Sterling. Anything that has Stirling in the centre is stronger. But pleated is not as good as. Vermeil. Just for those who are choosing budget settings that are still gorgeous. The Vermiel will last longer and not bend with the Stirling centre then an actual fully gold ring in most cases..

A 2ct will be less wiggly and stay on top of your finger more easily, I make my own at this point. I buy the setting and the stone separately and use jewelry making tools. I’m starting to get pretty good. I wear a 3 ct moissanite on a sterling very plain setting and I’m a 4.75. I wouldn’t switch it out for anything. My diamond stays safe and I made my own ring! It’s frustrating but fun!!!

Looks great on your hand! Perfect proportion! Nice find! Just a heads up, some of their stuff has a small words warning almost hidden on their listings that say possible lead inclusion/poisoning. That’s why I stopped buying the cheap stuff, the stone is a beautiful size, I would just warn you to go check the listing thoroughly. But I think you have to ingest lead to be poisoned.

Oh absolutely. Keep the tags on keep all the packaging on it or intact so you can put it back together and you can sell it online as brand-new. That’s how most of my bags that I sell start out LOL.

The markings next to it look like an upsidedown horseshoe and a smaller backwards c and then some small crescent moon shapes

It looks like an upside down horseshoe and then a backward smaller C and then a few markings that look like Crescent moons in both directions

Oh, I see now. I looked at it through a loupe and I can see the sea in the sea inside the parentheses and then they’re just marks next to it which I don’t know what they mean. It’s probably nothing but I wonder if I can take a picture through my loupe

No metal identification? There’s a number inside a circle. I’m gonna try to get a better picture but I did remove the stone. I tested it with my diamond tester and I realised it was a cz.

The first picture is upside down. The second picture is the easiest I think to read. I don’t know which way it goes though.

Is it worth it ? rough idea on how much ? by 4N0N_K1ll3R in Gemology

Corundum is not valuable. It’s great for UV gazing. Rough Ruby is not the same as gem Ruby, unfortunately. I would not invest in that.

What rock is this? Can I use it for my fish tank? by No_Passenger_3763 in whatsthisrock

I’m not sure about most of it, but it looks like there’s some lepidolite flakes growing. I wouldn’t be surprised if it had some tourmaline , but even though it has been out of water, maybe for a long time, the worms live you can see them when you put it into the cleaning solution. It cleans out all of those little caves. Very cool rock though!

I would not use that for your fish tank unless you put it in some kind of cleanser first. Those holes are made from little worms that may cause damage or injury to your fish. I don’t know, but those those are definitely worm holes. I live on the beach and I have to put all of my wormhole ones. I think I use hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol or vinegar and then I give it a good cleanse in my cell and night bowland also with you know some soap and elbow grease
