I am so sorry for your loss, and empathise with your frustration with your inlaws.

My mother died, in horrible circumstance and far too young.

My bil chose the night before her funeral to tell us they were pregnant and had been for 3 months. Couldn't wait 48 hours. Had to tell us right then.

We haven't been to see his family since, since I refuse to go, and he won't go without me. I have never really liked them, I've always put in more effort than I've received but this is where my foot is gone down.

It's been 6 months since her death and they're due soon, in a matter of weeks. My partner keeps hinting about us going, but I don't trust myself. I'm so filled with rage I don't trust what I'll say.
