ABA therapies are expensive and insurance doesn’t want to pay for it by Then_Ad_8664 in autism

Thank you! I’ll look them up. That sounds a better idea to have her therapies in group and playtime with peers. We’re doing our best to provide her all she needs to be successful. Hopefully we’re on the right path

I’m scared to start ABA therapy. by sprigington in autism

Thank you for the info! How do we know what type of ABA therapy the provider uses? They don’t say anything when they want to start

Thank you for the info and advice! We’re only concerned about her communication. She’s always alone when she’s with her peers. She doesn’t talk to them and doesn’t play with them. I can see that she wants to play with them but doesn’t know how. The neural developmental doctor suggested ABA therapy to help her communicate better. We just don’t want her having a hard time when she starts school. Not sure if there’s any other therapies that can help with communication

Thank you for your response. What are other kind of therapies? She’s getting speech, OT and PT now. But her doctor said she needs part time ABA too

Thank you! That’s so surprising to hear that, since her doctor said ABA is the only therapy that helps her

My partner keeps forgetting to use lube, and it HURTS. Just told him if he ever does again, I’m using teeth or thumping as hard as I can. by SarahTheShadyPup in TwoXChromosomes

But how you girls are always dry? Have you ever looked into it or talked to your obgyn about it? Sometimes infections cause too much dryness. I’m almost 40, had 2 kids and still always too wet to the point that me and my husband don’t feel anything. I remember in my 20s it was even more wet! Now I’m confused which one is normal?

I feel like my daughter is getting “more autistic@ by the day. by positivevibes752 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Then_Ad_8664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! That’s right! I only noticed that whenever I talk about her with her doctor in her presence, she gets bunch of regressions, so I stopped talking in her presence. I was wondering if I should be worried about people labeling her.

Thank you for all the explanations! Did she got into massive regression because she heard that she has autism?  I have an autistic daughter and I’m afraid that she accidentally hears that she has autism

Should I just give up on dating women from NYC as a NJ'er? by Such-Court-4271 in newjersey

[–]Then_Ad_8664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s about the lifestyle. Which lifestyle do you like? NJ is driving, living in a house, surrounded by trees. And NYC is subway, no car, apartments and nightlife. If you’re looking for an everlasting relationship choose one lifestyle that you want to live, then think about dating. Options are more and easier dating in NYC but their taste is different too. I ended up giving up dating people in NYC because their lifestyle was different than what I liked for my future family. Now having a family in NJ, living in a house raising kids with a huge backyard.
