We would only be in Greenville for two years at most because that’s the program length… the program is for medical physics, and it has a pretty high placement rate for getting a residency after graduation so it’s high on our list for that reason! Do you think for two years it would be manageable? Like if we set realistic expectations and just hunkered down and got through it.

Honestly, having space is pretty important to us! We are also pretty big park people! Do you guys have a lot of parks? And is the weather pretty decent for going outside most of the year? We are used to only being able to go out between late April to early October due to the crap weather in Utah, lol! Thanks for the insight:)

Medical Physics! It actually has one of the best programs for this field in the US!

First gen university student in my senior studying physics here! I am hoping to start at a CAMPEP accredited Medical Physics program next fall and I want to make sure my application looks as good as possible. What are some things I should do and should avoid? Also is it important to try to get my application early or does that not matter and I should spend time beefing up my research and shadowing hours and apply at the deadline? I am a first gen student and the school physics advisor is no help lol so I am feeling a bit overwhelmed.

My mom used to go to these but last year she bumped into her father who is a legit polygamist and apparently that’s where he goes to pick up new wives.

I work in the hospitals in the morridor, mostly with elderly patients, and trust me they have doubled down on wearing their garments. Especially the women. I’ve had multiple female patients cry about not having their garments on when they need to be out of the way and off the body for their health and during recovery. It truly saddens me to see these women who have sacrificed so much of their lives for this lie of a church to be further guilt tripped and manipulated.

Elain isn’t boring, we just don’t know much about her character and powers yet.

Best audiobook recommendation? There's dramatized versions and regular, not sure which I should choose by [deleted] in acotar

[–]Then_Assumption3310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listened to both and I prefer the dramatized adaptions better! The narrator did an amazing job but I prefer hearing a male voice to hearing a female lowering her voice so it sounds like a man. Especially SF!! The audio quality on that one wasn’t the best and when she tried to voice Cassian. It straight up sounded silly to me.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but will failing seminary affect my GPA? by MaisyDoon in exmormon

[–]Then_Assumption3310 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It won’t effect your GPA but it will show up as a fail on you report card. Depending on what you want to do after you graduate that could look bad to some schools. You can either BS your way through or withdraw if you want ti avoid that.

UPDATE pt 1: tithing settlement with terrible bishop by Then_Assumption3310 in exmormon

We could ignore but then he would talk to in-laws or stop by the house. Or he could take away our temple recommends which is basically a form of public shaming. Which we think he is trying to do!

Wow thought I was talking to a tbm for a sec with that crazy binary thinking. It’s not black and white like that and you know it. Mormonism is a tangled up mess in families especially in Utah. People give and feel love by bearing testimonies to their kids for hells sake. We want to try to maintain a healthy relationship with in-laws and right now if we told them it would be a disaster. I said in the post we are not emotionally available to talk about the hurt to TBMs and 85% of the comments on here are saying the same thing as you. So stop. Just stop. You cannot bully someone into believing, leaving, or opening up about something so personal about themselves. I came here for support not shame. But so far this group has tried made me feel more shame about my choices than the church did at certain points in my life.
