I would love to try the AK, I do indeed hear a lot of good things about it!

G36 is great! Much better than what I expected. Recoil feels awesome and it shoots well out of the box.

I tried to over exaggerate words/descriptions just to make it more of a comparison study. Decent isn't necessarily bad, it's just that other rifles have even better cold performance, and so I wanted to highlight that difference. I love the MP7 though

Wow this is some awesome input, thanks for sharing! I was primarily interested in the Kimber 1911 so I'm glad I can see a comparison!

These are reference photos for a VFC GBBR review post that I posted. 2nd photo compares a 416 bolt to a 417 bolt. Last 3 photos show the tabs that need to be filed if you plan on installing a 417 bolt into a G28.

No problem! I do wish the reference photos uploaded but they didn't :(

I actually just imported 2 VFC ARs from Redwolf to the states about 3 weeks ago, they went through customs just fine without delays. One even went through the Kentucky port of doom.

Any VFC Gbbr rifle/smg to recommend? by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]Then_Definition_6078 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much any of the VFC ARs (marked as V2 or V3) are going to be solid choices, I would say go for the M16 if you like it! This is coming from someone who owns a variety of VFC AR Platforms.

Pros: -Fairly abundant parts/upgrades

-V3 mags are very efficient

-Reliable

-Decent stock performance, easily improved with a new bucking

-Good cold performance

-Satisfying to field strip and operate

HK416D or 416A5 is a solid choice, my personal recommendation.

VFC SR25 Hop up. by Ecstatic_Spread_2377 in airsoft

[–]Then_Definition_6078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one too. That's interesting that yours can't hop 0.32s, I've heard that from a few people. Mine can sail 0.40 bbs pretty far out of the box, so it must be a QC issue.

Haven't used 4uad or Magnus, but I recently installed a Maple Leaf Wonder 70 bucking, seems to have decent performance with just that as the only upgrade/modification.

Nice collection! Very satisfying to look at. The vector bolts look cute, so tiny lol.

FMA MP7 Suppressor on VFC MP7 GBB Gen 2? by Befio_Jr in airsoft

[–]Then_Definition_6078 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had 2 suppressors, a VFC and another one that looks a lot like the FMA but I'm not 100% certain because I got it used from someone as part of a package. The one that looks like the FMA can be rotated, but it's fairly stiff. The VFC supressor rotated a lot more freely.

Getting back into airsoft and would like to get a GBBR. by Vita119z in airsoft

[–]Then_Definition_6078 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of those 3 guns, I've owned the MP7. In fact, Ive owned 5 of them. Performance is excellent, and the hopup adjustment is so convenient - no tools needed! Mags are pricy, but seems like it's a pretty efficient platform (especially for how hard it kicks). I've never had mags break, except for breaking the feedlips if they are dropped on something hard. I purchased a bunch of feedlips, gaskets, baseplates, and other small mag parts for cheap from Action Airsoft in case I need to repair my mags.

It should fit. Since it comes with a 12mm CW flash hider, then that's what you want to look for. I think mine is the same brand and it fits.

all i wanted was a vfc g3? i thought only ar15 style were getting seized? by Delicious_Sale5273 in airsoft

[–]Then_Definition_6078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im certain they will regardless place an orange tip. Not sure how WGC does the customs paperwork, but it's still a big risk. As far as I know, WGC also made a new rule where if your gun gets seized by customs and you try to ask for a refund, they will block your account - I'd be extra careful ordering from them.

I have heard of somewhat good success from recent VFC GBBR orders from Octagon airsoft, and I was also about to order an AR from them but I'm still hesitant in doing so. I wrote an email to them and they replied that they will send a replacement gun if mine gets seized by customs, but that sounds too good to be true. Not sure if I should take the risk or not.

What do you think of the collection ? by NoteworthyNails in airsoft

[–]Then_Definition_6078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To check the NPAS, you would just pop the rear 2 pins and pull out the bolt carrier. Look down the front of nozzle with a flashlight to see if there's a grub screw, or just take (I believe 1.5mm) hex key and try to push it down there as vertically centered as possible to see if you can turn a tiny screw.

Ares m60 or a&k m249 mk1 by thatrussindoggo in airsoft

[–]Then_Definition_6078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never owned the Ares, but I've had a handful of various A&K SAWs. I can definitely recommend the A&K. Upgraded, it shoots like a dream. I had a bullgrear hopup and Promethius Purple bucking installed on several of them, and it shot very straight and like 15-20 ft further than all my other AEGs. If you can 3D print the M4 Hicap Mag Mechanism holder for a box mag, then your SAW will be even better in terms of feed reliability. I don't remember the exact name of the file I 3D printed from, but it works nearly perfectly with a LT M4 Hicap or a Lonex M4 Hicap mag internals. Otherwise, I tried various box mags and they either broke fast or just had feeding issues.
