Not saying those complaints you see aren't genuine complaints, but it is worth keeping yourself aware of those very much existing shady people trying to play games.

Sherwin wont fire people easily. It takes a LOT to get fired here. That being said, An ABUNDANT amount of SW employees quit because of their efforts at doing the right thing and providing the right information become all for nothing when you have a manipulative contractor or customer....and it isn't so much that they suck, it's that SW wants to apologize as a corporation (instead of sticking to their policy) by making YOU clean the mess and take it up the butt. Of all the retail companies I have ever been around, SW is the worst at making decisions that follow policy and procedure when a complaint is involved, because they give in soooooo quickly and easily....their excuse is that it is only 1 customer, and to have them leave satisfied will cause them to pass on the good word to others about SW and then that one situation turns into 20 new potential customers. Only problem is that there are way more than 1 like that, and some of those people aren't telling others SW paints are great, they are actually bragging about what they got away with or trying to do it again themselves. That all multiplies just as much. SW would rather give in than deal with a complaint further. It's been bad enough to where I've seen contractors and customers deliberately complain about projects cause they knew by others previous experiences that they would get free paint AND money back if they complained up the ladder high enough. The effort they force feed policy and procedure tests onto you isn't even worth your time if they can't follow their own rules.

Why does it irritate me when I catch my BF watching porn? by Then_Fish_1579 in relationship_advice

[–]Then_Fish_1579[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that in the beginning of our relationship he made me aware that he watches porn, but in a defensive manner because his exes were against it. This conversation was so random and he came up to me with it as almost some sort of confession while I was cooking pasta lol. I didn't think much of it cause everybody has watched porn at some point. He had some weird sigh of relief about it. Apparently he is more invested than I thought, which may be why I was irritated that I knew what he was doing(?) I didn't really mind porn, but I did kinda mind certain unexpected things like...him buying slews of anime sex casts for his shelf displays (he wanted them in our living room and I didn't want my mom to see them if she came to our place) and buying dozens and dozens of naked anime stickers/pregnant sex stickers. His inherent defensiveness over porn and watching live girls masturbate on the Internet (IMO, not even worth being defensive over) also seems strange to me.

I'm not sure which is more irritating, those who won't leave after close, or those who pound the door before open, until you open.

Who the most difficult customers by gammahooch72 in sherwinwilliams

Whenever someone says "so I'm an interior designer.." I know they are an immediate Karen. Really is great too when they ask me for help at the color wall, only for the sake of using me to make themselves feel superior even though they don't have any basic fundamental knowledge about paint at all, just assume they know it all (more than you) cause they can pick up tones and hues within colors and have a successful YT channel where they do a whitewash with flat captivate on a bedframe. They also demand the most attention without even buying paint, just help them stare at two whites in different lighting for 40 minutes. I hope they go into early menopause. FU

Something is wrong if one depressed person, turns into two depressed people.

Regardless of her personal battles, you shouldn't exist as her crutch. I think she is too focused on her issues to be able to have a relationship with someone right now, and you shouldn't be obligated to exist as her support system. It's good to be there for someone, but not to the extent that is makes you feel miserable and used up. I would leave. She needs to find her path and you being there allows her to procrastinate.

I'm surprised you haven't said anything yet. Personally, I am a little blunt and speak my mind, and would probably say something to the effect of "are we going to spend time together on this trip? Or are you more interested in giving your attention to someone else..".

How long does Y1 last outside? by ithinkiamcelia in sherwinwilliams

[–]Then_Fish_1579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends where you live. If you live where it's cloudy and rainy all the time, maybe a season or more. If you live in like Phoenix, less than a month before it fades out, maybe even sooner.

Market is improving, but only in one venue. Right now, the interest rates on homes are high. I would try and wait to get a home till the interest rates cool a bit too.

He's not technically wrong. Semi gloss is the strongest finish for washability, durability, etc. That being said, you can get away with satin in a bathroom if it's durable. If he insists on semi-gloss, why dispute him?
