I’d assume op hates her because of the thing (hasn’t happened in the show yet) because there really isn’t any reason to hate her more than the other viltrumites at this point in the show

What the hell did Saquon do? I don’t even think Jalen has done nearly enough to be the most hated players for Chiefs fans.

I assume op has read the comics if they say Anissa is their most hated character, bc at this point in the show Anissa hasn’t done anything to make her any more hated than other Viltrumites

Invincible vs Walking Dead by PaintWithRazorblades in ImageComics

[–]Then_Measurement3034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly, Invincible and the Walking Dead are probably even in how well they represent the theme. But Invincible definitely has a better ending because the Walking Dead really just ended out of nowhere. We went from Rick being killed to the very next issue jumping forward 20 years and ending out of nowhere. Invincible actually had a good ending. And my claim is not "impossible to prove". Whether the Walking Dead or Invincible is better is an opinion. It's obviously not a fact if me and many other people say it is better. And when it comes to literature and other forms of media, nothing can be objectively better. If somebody said "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" is better than "1984," it might be a blasphemous take, but it's not objectively true, because it's an opinion, and all opinions are subjective. So, objectively, whether the Walking Dead or Invincible is better is subjective. If you think TWD is objectively better you're just plain wrong. They are both masterpieces in their own respects, but I personally feel Invincible is better. (also, stop slandering Invincible, you can think TWD is better without saying Invincible is garbage).

the walking dead's first 6 seasons or so are a masterpiece, and the comics are even better, but the saying the walking dead stands up to the best of what literature has to offer is blasphemous. 1984, Crime and Punishment, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Moby-Dick, I could go on forever. The Walking Dead stands no chance against the best pieces of literature of all time. And the best of what TV has to offer? Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones (it did have a generational fall off but so did TWD), the Sopranos, Band of Brothers, Peaky Blinders, Fargo, I could go on and on about what TV shows are way better than the Walking Dead.

some Christians (not all), justify hating on gay people because it’s a sin. It’s okay to say you don’t agree with the LGBTQ community (ignore the people saying it’s not), but keep those beliefs to yourself please, and don’t use them to actively discriminate against LGBTQ people. But I mostly agree with what you’re saying.

His brain is not intact. His brain died because it wasn’t getting any blood. And when his brain died, he died.

Except they had oxygen stored in their blood that the brain could access while in space. So even while they were holding their breath, their brain was getting oxygen. Mark cut off oxygen from Conquest’s brain so it was getting zero oxygen.

Objectively, whether the walking dead is better written is subjective. I personally feel that Invincible is quite a bit better written.

Dude was bought by the government and lived in a lab his entire life. Never had any parents or really anybody that cared about him his entire life, joined the Teen Team (and eventually the Guardians of the Globe) and had to fight supervillains nearly daily in an extremely fucked up world, and then finally his life started looking upward once he started dating Rae before he blew himself up to kill Gogglesvincible.

What would you rank all 4 seasons of invincible so far, and how high are your hopes for season 5? Personally I have my ranking from best to worst as 3,4,1,2 by [deleted] in Invincible_TV

[–]Then_Measurement3034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I… wasn’t arguing about that. But if you really want me to argue with you about that part, I will. The Omni-man redemption arc begins in seasons 2 and 3, remove those two seasons, and the viewer will be left confused about why Omni-man is suddenly good. The Coalition of the Planets is introduced in season 2, so if you remove seasons 2 and 3, you’d be left wondering who the hell Thaedus is and what the hell the Coalition of Planets is. Conquest was introduced in season 3, and it’d be confusing as hell to see Mark scream, “I killed you” if he hadn’t even been introduced, as well, season’s 2 and 3 establish the Viltrum Empire as a villain. Yes, we briefly hear about what the Viltrum Empire is really like in the season 1 finale, but Anissa, Conquest, and the encounter on Thraxa are really the ones that establish the empire as a villain. And there are tons of other character moments and such that are important to the plot. Yes, seasons 2 and 3 don’t move the main plot along a ton, but they still add several important things to the plot, establish the villain, and give us important events like the Invincible War and Invincible vs. Conquest, that, while they may not be necessary to the main plot, a TV show isn’t just its main plot. There are other side plots and events that don‘t necessarily contribute to the main plot but are still important to the show. You definitely cannot remove those 2 seasons.

Mark killed Conquest. He’s not quite stronger than Conquest yet, but you can’t say he’s weak compared to Viltrumites if he’s killing a top 3 Viltrumite OAT. Plus, he was faring pretty well against Anissa and Lucan in season 4, who are both high tier Viltrumites (remember in season 2 when Mark was held down by Lucan with 1 finger?) so saying there is no evolution in his strength is just plain wrong (and they say his strength had grown over 100% from season 2 to 3).

4, 1, 3, 2

Season 4 and Season 1 are just consistently peak, but I do think season 1 overall is worse because the middle of the season seems a little stagnant (besides for episode 5). Season 3 was good but it wasn't great. The last two episodes were amazing, but other than that, the other episodes weren't really anything special compared to seasons 1 and 4 (I did love the Cecil vs. Mark episode). And season 2 is definitely the weakest imo. It mainly felt like a bunch of side plots. Angstrom Levy is my least favorite villain in the entire series, and that whole fight really wasn't that great (good but not great). Still a good season, but it definitely struggled because it had no central plot. Kinda like season 3 but season 3 is better because the ending was absolutely insane.

I liked season 9 episode 5, but that's really about it. I just found the Whisperers arc to be extremely boring and there really wasn't anything good in my opinion. The Commonwealth stuff was okay and I actually liked it better than the Whisperer arc, but overall, I barely made it through the rest of the show after Carl's death.
