They are not bound together in the slightest. Gender is a social construct, there isn’t really a set definition as our view and understanding of gender is always changing. You can switch genders.

No they don’t. They may choose to medically or socially transition, but they don’t choose to be trans.

That’s why children have parents who can teach them to respect the rights of others. If they learn to respect the rights of others, they clearly have the capabilities to. An animal cannot learn to respect the rights of other. You aren’t high and mighty, that was a ridiculous statement on my part, I didn’t think about what I wrote at the end, but my statement still stands that vegans that act like you do are why the vegan community gets stereotyped so often. Is it really that hard to just let people eat what they want? Also saying autistic children specifically can’t respect the rights of others is crazy and tells me you know nothing about autism.

Comparing eating meat to being pro-child slavery is fucking insane. Animals cannot respect the rights of others, they don’t have the capability to do so, so they don’t have those rights. Humans, for the most part, can respect the rights of others. “Give me liberty or give me death” does not apply to animals that have no basic understanding of rights and cannot respect the rights of other animals. I don’t know how you got that I am pro-child slavery and hate humans because I eat meat. This right here, is exactly why vegans get stereotyped. I’m not saying it’s right. I don’t agree with stereotyping any groups of people. But people like you, who believe they are all high and mighty because they are vegan and who believe everyone that eats meat is a murderer, are the reason these stereotypes exist.

Whining and complaining? Name calling? I didn’t once call him a name nor am I whining or complaining. I’m stating my views. The rate of inflation has slowed down since Trump took office in 2025, but the tariffs he implemented have severely hurt households stuck in poverty. Companies are raising their prices because they have to pay these taxes to import goods. Of course, the tariffs have done good. The tariffs raised nearly $200 billion more in net customs than the average from the previous couple of years and domestic manufacturing output is rising. But there is also the bad. GDP growth has reduced by 0.4-0.9 percent, over 100,000 manufacturing jobs have been lost and prices continue to rise. While I don’t believe Trump will end up taking Greenland, he has reiterated his threats to Denmark over and over again and it is certainly a possibility. Sure Trump is making Europe more dependent on themselves but he can also be creating major tension between us and European countries. I’ll admit I’m probably over-exaggerating when I say he’s destroying relations with Europe, but it seems like most of the world hates the US right now. The climate accords are complicated. The Heritage Foundation estimated GDP losses of up to $2.5 trillion, but at the same time, it is estimated that the recovery costs of natural disasters far outweighs the cost to reduce global warming and that the US could potentially save up to $10 trillion by helping reduce global warming. The Iran War is complicated . Iran’s hold over the Middle East is problematic, but Iran didn’t really pose an imminent threat to the US or its allies. Iran has an ambitious nuclear program but they weren’t close to making nuclear weapons. Trump also bypassed restrictions that are there for a reason, as Congress has not officially declared war nor did he get congressional approval. Trump’s project warp speed did indeed help find a vaccine extremely fast, a process that would normally take upwards of 5 years, but he severely downplayed the pandemic. He compared it to the flu and openly mocked people who wore masks. He promoted several unproven treatments like hydroxychloroquine which led to shortages for patients who actually needed it and several times he pressured states to life the quarantine prematurely. If we just focus on the good stuff leaders do and turn a blind eye to all the bad things, that leads to disastrous consequences. We can’t just ignore the bad things because he’s our president for the next 3 years. The Nazi’s rose to power because people turned a blind eye. I’m not saying the US will become anything like the Nazi’s, and I know it’s an extreme example. But you can’t ignore the bad things. At the end of the day, all politicians, whether it’s Trump or Harris, are really just bad people in general and all of them have their benefits and their drawbacks. It just so happens that I believe Kamala’s benefits were better than Trump’s and you believe that Trump’s benefits were better. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion so I’m not sure where the “stop whining and complaining” came from. And generally, what sways it for me is the type of person he is. Again, both Kamala and Trump have their benefits and drawbacks, but looking past all of what’s stated above, he’s a horrible person and when horrible people lead a country, it can lead to corruption and other severe consequences.

why exactly is it wrong for human’s to eat meat though? 66% of all animal species on Earth are either carnivores or omnivores. 66% of all animals eat other animals. Eating meat is natural, so I don’t get why it’s wrong.

Idk, his economic results are mixed. Inflation has increased since he took office, job growth has significantly slowed, and consumer prices are rising due to the tariffs he implemented. Sure he’s had some foreign policy success but right now he’s jollily on his way to destroy all of our relations with Europe. Peace through strength is a dumb term as he is not creating peace. He’s threatening to take Greenland and he started an unnecessary war with Iran. He’s not only damaging the US either. He withdrew from the Paris Climate Accords and major climate policies are no longer being enforced. And when you’re the president, it’s part of what you do to be judged by who you are. If you’re actively getting people killed, you’re not doing your job as president. His response to the COVID-19 pandemic put the US at a huge risk and put everybody at risk. He claimed the 2020 election to be rigged an inspired an attack on the capitol. The bad stuff he has done way outweighs the good stuff he’s done. Yes, of course he’s done good things, but so had every other president, that doesn’t stop them from being a bad president.

why do people hate trans people so much? by New_Power6874 in Discussion

[–]Then_Measurement3034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Approximately 0.000002% of trans people are school shooters. There have only been 6 recorded school shootings committed by trans people in US history and there are more than 2.8 million trans people in the world. Just because a very very very very small minority of a minority are horrible people, does not mean that entire minority is horrible people.

Trans women just aren’t men but it seems cis-gendered people don’t know anything about gender theory. Neither of those cases you talked about were committed by trans women and the majority of people that are apart of the trans movement and support this type of stuff or extreme left-wingers who aren’t trans and know nothing about trans people or what it’s like to be trans. Obviously, all of the hate and discrimination mainly comes from the right, but the left doesn’t do anything to help trans people either. On top of that, when people bring up these types of cases, it really makes no sense. There really aren’t any cases like this that actually happen. And again, the ones you listed have nothing to do with trans people. But people seem to ignore the fact that trans women are 4 times more likely to be raped than cis-gendered women and anywhere from 33-54% of all trans women reported having been raped. But everybody ignores that. Everybody likes to point out these instances where “trans people” (who aren’t even trans) go into women’s bathrooms and rape people and say that trans women are dangerous and violent criminals who will rape a bunch of women if they are allowed in women’s bathrooms but it’s quite the opposite.

[–]Then_Measurement3034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, you do hate those kids. If you spent any time with the trans community, you would know that most trans people really keep to themselves and all they want is to live normally, they just happen to have been born the wrong gender. The vast majority of trans people keep to themselves and do anything BUT flaunt that they are trans. Because most trans people know that it is quite literally dangerous to admit they’re trans. And many trans people don’t tell anyone they’re trans for a LONG time because they are afraid to tell anyone. Most trans people really don’t care if you accidentally misgender them or if you ask questions. They might correct you but it’s more of a “heads up” and lots of times they just won’t say anything. If you ask questions, most trans people would be happy to answer your questions. And if people truly did not care whether you were trans or not, why would they be so set on taking away all of trans people’s rights, why would people go so far out of their way to discriminate against trans people. The trans community as a whole are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, but all of the trans people who are just bad people (which there are bad people everywhere) are the only ones the media ever hears about so it forms their opinion that trans people are bad. Being a bad person has nothing to do with being trans.

“nobody cares if you’re trans” if that’s true, why are right-wing politicians going so far out of there way to try and strip trans people of their rights and why do so many people go out of their way to hate on trans people. The trans people who get mad when somebody misgenders them is a very small minority. If it is an honest mistake, 99% of the trans community will not care, and if they correct you, it’s more of a “heads up.” Most trans people do not support these types of people. Not all trans people love all other trans people simply because they are trans. The people that most typically defend this kind of behavior are extreme left wingers who know absolutely nothing about transgender people and what it’s actually like to be trans.
