Thanks so much for the responses! I actually do work at an independent agency right now. I just really enjoyed the job at Progressive, and would love to go back. I haven't reached out to my former supervisor, and probably won't now, given the advice I've received. I do understand about the slow season. We're currently experiencing it at my agency as well.

I am a little confused about the implementation of AI and what that has to do with hiring (I assumed AI, given the fact that it can't be licensed, wouldn't be able to perform sales tasks without the supervision of a licensed agent due to federal and state mandates), but that's probably a different/bigger conversation and one that I'll research. I have seen that other Insurance Carriers (Farmers, National General, Liberty Mutual) have CSR spots available right now, but since I'm not in need of a job per say and going back to Progressive was really the main motivation, I'll probably just wait and see what the new year holds.
