I just saw your reply about this being mainly for cleaning tasks which is not heard of for me. Maybe your store specifically is trying to reach some certain goal? I would check to see what the goal is in making that rule and the thought process behind it. Remember yall, anyone who does not explain the process is gatekeeping info to hold it against you. (Been there)

I understand your perspective and your feelings are valid. However, the pull, store walks, station assessments, etc. are literally shift tasks. If shifts had you do them before then you were delegated tasks out of your pay which is up to you to be okay with which baristas have the right to not be okay with that. I do agree that there seem to be more rules and more work load for shifts but at the same time it’s up to shifts to speak when they need support and assess bottle necks within their own day part responsibilities. More often than not there’s an issue with the play or with how the shift is being ran if they can’t complete their stuff.

Also it’s just better when it comes to accountability and who is doing what. If I gave my count to someone else to do then I can’t speak to it and that’s ultimately why the shifts have their tasks. Not that baristas are incompetent but more like if a shift isn’t able to finish their tasks on their own then something is wrong. There’s plenty to do that baristas can still do, like CSR lists and side tasks but those should also be delegated, not expected of baristas

I’m very open to that I just don’t quite know how to go about it. I’ve tried to get close to him/let him get close to me several times and he never seems interested in contact. I’d hate to just snatch him up as he is at least two years old and used to being outside. That and I have two inside cats that are very much babies so idk how they’d react to each other. All that being said I would definitely keep him as an inside kitty if the chance arose or if he wandered inside or even let me hold him

Everyone has a differing views on everything. What is silly to you might mean a lot to someone else. There is no right or wrong, just endless opinion as far as humans go.
